Live Streamed Death: Reborn to Ruin My Family Chapter 02

Chapter 2: The Act Begins

Mark shot me a look. “One more, Mia.

They hoisted a second slab.

“No way that’s real. Looks fake as hell.”

Seeing the skeptical comments, Skyler panicked “How could it be fake? My sister’s a beast!”

He even jumped onto the slab himself and stomped twice.

The crushing weight slammed down. I let out a muffled groan.

Last time, he did the same thing. And I gritted my teeth and took it-to save his pride.

Not this time..

“Ah!”

I screamed, face twisted, brows furrowed.

Skyler flinched and jumped off. Mark and Stella rushed over, tense.

“What’s wrong, Mia? Was Skyler too heavy?”

I gasped, shaking my head with effort.

“N-no… just…. knocked the wind out of me.”

The chat exploded.

“Damn, maybe it’s real. Look at her face-she’s white as a sheet.”

“Bro’s a jerk. Why’d he jump on her?”

“Get the slab off! Now!”

Skyler’s face went red, then white. It took him and Mark everything they had to lift the slab off me.

I pushed myself up, clutching my chest, coughing so hard tears came out.

Mark studied my weak face. Doubt flickered in his eyes. Disappointment, “You’re off today. You used to handle three or four easily.”

I gave a bitter smile, voice low. “I don’t know what’s wrong, Dad. Lately my chest’s been tight. Can’t use my strength.”

My words landed like ice water on their fever dreams.

The stream died early because of my “accident. That night, the house was a freezer.

Skyler slumped on the couch, scrolling. His chat had turned toxic-haters saying he didn’t care if his own sister lived or died just for clout.

“This is your fault! You blew it!” He chucked his phone at the couch. “Great. We made nothing, and now we’re drowning in crap.”

Stella shot me a look, all sympathy for him, none for me. “Mia, what’s wrong with you? You don’t want to help your brother? You know how much we’ve invested in this?”

I lowered my head, put on a helpless, hurt face. I’m sorry. I really wasn’t feeling well.”

Mark slammed the table. “Not feeling well? You did this on purpose.”

“Listen to me, Mia. Next week’s stream has to succeed. Our mansion dream is riding on you. If you drop the ball, I’ll break your legs.”

My body jerked. My eyes went red, tears welling

Seeing me look so pitiful, their anger softened a notch.

Stella sighed, switched to sweet. “Mia, we’re doing this for you too. Think about it-once Skyler blows up and we move into a mansion, you’ll live the good life too. No more this dump, right?”

Skyler muttered, “Yeah. We’ll give you the biggest room.”

Last life, I believed every word. Bowl after bowl of that sugarcoated poison-and I drank until I was dizzy with devotion. Worked myself to death for them.

Now? It just made me sick.

I sniffled, choked out, “Okay, Mom, Dad. I’ll try again tomorrow.”

Once I “gave in,” they finally looked satisfied.

Early next morning, I said my chest hurt and I needed to see a doctor-so I wouldn’t mess up next week’s stream.

For once, Mark actually handed me five hundred bucks. “Go to the local clinic. And come straight back.”

I took the money, followed my memory to the city hospital, and found the doctor who’d

been the only one to speak up for me in my last life.
