The Comments Told Me The Twin Brothers Shared Sensation Chapter 04

Adrian’s lips parted slightly, but in the end, he said nothing.

Once the apples were clean, he cut off a slice and held it out to me first.

I blinked at the piece in front of me. Instead of taking it with my hand, I leaned forward and bit into it under his startled gaze.

I bit into it with a little too much force, and my lips seemed to brush his fingertips. His breath caught, and the air went completely still.

As I chewed, I watched the flush spread from Adrian’s neck all the way to the tips of his ears.

I was very satisfied with my canon love interest. The author really knew exactly what did it for me.

One accidental touch, and he was already this red.

I could not imagine how badly he must have blushed in the room next door every time I had touched Mason’s abs and the shared-sensation link let him feel it too.

I was still thinking about that when footsteps sounded behind us.

We turned at the same time and saw Mason, his gaze dark and unreadable.

Blood was still dripping down one side of his arm, and his lips were almost colorless.

“So this is where you ran off to. You were hiding in the kitchen and feeling up my brother. Let me guess—what was that soft thing that just brushed his fingertip?”

His face was bloodless as he advanced one slow step at a time, while Adrian frowned, ignored him, and kept slicing the apple.

“Your cheek? Your fingers? Or your lips?”

I frowned at Mason.

“Didn’t you ask Chloe to heal you?”

His chest rose and fell faster, but he ignored my question completely.

“Adrian, why was your heart beating so fast just now? Did she get your heart racing by flirting with you?”

He stared at his brother’s profile with an almost cruel look in his eyes.

“Do you know how she used to describe you to me?”

My eyes widened. Had a zombie bite fried his brain or something? Why was he talking like he had completely lost his mind?

“She said you were cold and intimidating, so scary that she didn’t even dare go near you…”

Adrian’s knife paused.

The sharp blade sliced into his fingertip, and blood dripped onto the small piece of apple he had just cut.

Expressionless, he put the bloodstained slice into his mouth, set down the knife, and said, “You have plenty of energy to talk. Go get that arm healed.”

Without looking at either of us again, he turned and left the kitchen.

The comments had no idea what to make of it.

[What is happening? Why does the male lead suddenly feel like the villain?]

[The second male lead is devastated. His girl was talking trash about him behind his back.]

[Well, the male lead got what he wanted. The second male lead’s heart isn’t racing anymore. It flatlined.]

Chloe poked her head into the kitchen.

“Do you want me to heal that arm before you actually die? Oh, hey, the apples are ready!”

Once I heard Chloe offer to heal Mason, I hurried after Adrian.

Adrian’s bedroom door was unlocked. When I pushed it open, he was sitting on the edge of the bed, and his body stiffened even more when he saw me.

“Let me see your hand.”

I stepped forward and reached for his hand. He did not pull away.

“Are you mad? I’m sorry. I really did say those things.”

Luckily, it was only a small cut, though the bleeding still had not stopped.

Adrian’s voice came out low and rough.

“I’m not mad. I… am I really that scary?”

For a moment, I had no idea how to comfort him.

More comments floated before my eyes.

[The female supporting character is terrible at comforting her man. Look at how hurt he is.]

[Who cares if she’s bad with words? Her lips are soft. She should just kiss him, hug him, and touch him. The second male lead would be smiling for days.]

I was not that horny, but holding Adrian’s hand earlier had seemed to improve his mood.

After hesitating for two seconds, I reused the same lie I had told Mason.

“Can I hug you?”

Silence filled the room.

The stern expression on Adrian’s face immediately froze, and a dark flush crept over the tips of his ears.

“Hugging makes the healing work faster. Skin-to-skin contact doubles the effect.”

His reaction gave me confidence.

I let my healing power flow and threw myself into his arms.

His body was rigid, and his heartbeat thundered against me.

After we had stayed like that in the quiet room for a long while, I started getting restless.

An unbearable need crawled beneath my skin. I wanted direct skin-to-skin contact.

My hand slipped naturally beneath the hem of his shirt.

I paused for a few seconds. When he did not stop me, I slowly slid my hand farther inside.

His breathing abruptly turned rough above me, and his heartbeat pounded so hard that the vibration made my ears tingle.

Adrian’s entire body went taut. He trembled faintly as my fingertips moved across his skin.

I was happily using my healing power while copping a feel when the door was suddenly kicked open.
