He Pretended To Prepare An Elaborate Luna Ceremony But Secretly Marked Another Omega Chapter 08

The paintings in the grand hall were gone. The wine cellar was stripped down to half its size.

Even the crystal wine glasses I used daily had vanished.

“You mentioned moving us into a bigger estate after the ceremony, remember? I shipped some of the less common items ahead.”

In reality, I had sold or thrown away every single piece.

Gabriel didn’t question it. He stepped forward and wrapped his arms around me.

“Let’s go on a vacation right after the mating ceremony, Flora. Anywhere you want.”

“I don’t feel like going anywhere.”

I pushed him away and stood up. “I’m going to take a shower.”

Gabriel watched me walk toward the bathroom, his eyes narrowing slightly.

He pulled out his phone and dialed his Beta’s number.

Standing under the running water, my ears caught the muffled sound of his deliberately lowered voice.

“Relax, Flora doesn’t suspect a thing.”

“The purse? She just messed up the shipping address. I already handled Samantha.”

“I have both of them exactly where I want them. When have you ever seen an Alpha screw up?”

I turned off the shower and stared at my reflection in the mirror. My face was completely blank.

Water droplets fell from my chin, splashing into the drain.

You’re right, Gabriel. When have you ever screwed up?

So, I am going to make sure you blow it in front of the biggest crowd possible.

Three days before the ceremony, I called a meeting with the high priestess of the Moonlight Temple.

“Miss Flora, is there anything about the itinerary you’d like to adjust?”

The priestess asked, her tone deeply respectful.

I handed her a flash drive. “Add this video to the opening sequence.”

“What is it?”

It was the very surprise that would ruin him, of course.

But I simply offered her a shy, practiced smile.

“Just a tribute to my journey with Gabriel.”

“Make sure it plays on the main screen. I want the entire pack to witness our love story.”

The priestess relaxed, nodding repeatedly. “Consider it done. Leave it to me.”

The night before the ceremony, Gabriel called to say he was attending his bachelor party and wouldn’t be back.

I sat alone in the hollow packhouse. Not a single trace of my existence remained in the building.

I placed the house keys and the moonstone ring he had given me side-by-side on the coffee table.

Then, I opened my phone and created a massive group chat.

I invited Gabriel’s parents, the pack elders, our relatives, and all of our mutual friends.

I dropped the location pin for the Celestial Hall where the ceremony would take place tomorrow.

With everything set, I turned off my phone and slept peacefully.

The next morning, I skipped the makeup and bypassed the heavy, elaborate gown.

Instead, I threw on a sharply tailored black trench coat over a crisp white shirt.

I tied my hair back into a loose, effortless bun.

When I arrived at the Moonlight Temple, I avoided the grand entrance and took the staff corridor straight to a private holding room.

Jacqueline was already waiting inside.

“Everything set?”

She handed me a thick manila folder. “All set.”

I took the documents. Inside were Gabriel’s loan contracts and the collateral agreements for my assets.

“Are you absolutely certain you want to do this?” Jacqueline asked, taking in my outfit with a sigh.

“After today, Gabriel will be a laughingstock among the Alpha circles.”

“He earned it,” I replied smoothly.

Eleven-fifty AM.

The ceremony was about to begin.

I stepped out of the holding room and stood just outside the side doors of the Celestial Hall.

Peering through the crack, I saw Gabriel standing at the altar, looking sharp in a custom white suit.

He wore a smug smile, basking in the congratulations of the guests.

The pack elders in the front row and the Alphas from neighboring territories were all offering their compliments.

Samantha sat tucked away in a corner, wearing a simple white dress, her expression a twisted knot of emotions as she stared at him.

Gabriel kept glancing toward the side doors, a slight frown creasing his brow.

Exactly twelve o’clock.

The priestess raised the microphone, her voice booming through the hall.

“Guests, pack members, welcome to the mating ceremony of Alpha Gabriel and Luna Flora.”

“Before we begin, please turn your attention to the main screen as we look back on the beautiful journey that brought this couple together!”

The house lights dimmed to total darkness.

The main screen flared to life, displaying a high-definition photograph of a mating bond registry.

Clearly visible at the bottom were the signatures and wolf paw prints of Gabriel and Samantha.

The registration date listed on the document was exactly two weeks ago.

The entire hall fell into a suffocating, dead silence.
