My Boss Flies Me First Class And His Fiancée Flies Into A Rage Chapter 07

The employees in the sales pit finally realized the terrifying pattern occurring before their eyes.

They quickly averted their gazes, burying their faces in their monitors and praying I wouldn’t notice them.

But I wasn’t appeased yet. My dignity wasn’t that cheap.

I slid the luxury cruise brochure right back across the desk to Ethan.

“I think I’ll pass, Mr. Vance. My resignation is final.”

“I’m genuinely afraid of what your fiancée will do to me when I get back.”

Victoria practically exploded with anger, pointing a manicured nail at me. “What is that supposed to mean? You think a few slaps wasn’t a justified punishment for a useless, draining parasite like you?”

“That is enough!” Ethan roared, spinning around to face Victoria.

“I was planning on explaining the operational mechanics to you once we got home, but you are completely dense!”

“Chloe is staying right here, and this company will continue to cover every single one of her personal expenses.”

“From this moment on, you will treat her with the exact same level of deference and respect that you show me!”

A small smirk played at the corner of my lips, but it wasn’t quite enough to satisfy me.

I touched my bruised cheek, maintaining my fragile demeanor. “I appreciate the gesture, Mr. Vance, but I really can’t go on a cruise. The ocean air will only irritate my injuries.”

The entire office sneaked glances at us, their expressions a mix of profound shock and anxiety.

Ethan bit his lip, completely dropping his executive pride as he began to plead.

“Chloe, I’m begging you, give me some grace here. I’ll double your quarterly bonus structure.”

Before I could answer, Victoria completely broke down.

“Ethan! You’re a CEO! You’re a man worth over a hundred million dollars!”

“Why are you begging this trashy woman? What could she possibly be worth to you?”

I sighed softly, playing my winning card. “Mr. Vance, all this stress is giving me a migraine. I think I just need to pack my things and go home for the year.”

“Or,” I paused, a casual smile playing on my lips, “I might just accept the offer from Somerset Holdings next door. The CEO there was a close friend of mine in college.”

“No! Absolutely not!” Ethan panicked, completely losing his composure.

If I resigned, his revenue would instantly flatline. If I went to Somerset Holdings—their fiercest market competitor—Ethan’s empire would be wiped off the map overnight.

“Fine! I get it! Victoria crossed the line, and I will make sure you get justice!”

Before Victoria could even process his words, Ethan swung his hand and delivered a roaring slap right across her face.

He didn’t stop there. Alternating left and right, he landed several sharp slaps across her cheeks.

“Victoria, you brought this entirely on yourself! You earned every single one of these!”

Clutching her burning face, Victoria looked at him with an expression of pure heartbreak and despair.

“Ethan… you actually struck me for the sake of this woman?”

“We’ve been together for eight years, and you’ve never laid a single finger on me!”

“You’ve changed. You completely disgust me!”

Ethan let out a long breath, offering her no comfort whatsoever. Instead, he immediately turned back to me with a submissive smile.

“Ms. Hayes, do you think you’ll be feeling well enough for that luxury cruise tomorrow?”

I smiled back at him sweetly. “I’ll think about it. My head still hurts from how everyone treated me earlier.”

Ethan’s face darkened as he turned back to the crowded bullpen, his voice booming through the room.

“Who else? Who threw their drinks at her?”

“Get your pathetic asses over here right now and apologize to Ms. Hayes!”

The coworkers exchanged terrified glances. To save their jobs and protect their upcoming bonuses, they lined up one by one in front of my desk.

Each one delivered a formal, deep bow.

“We are incredibly sorry, Ms. Hayes! Please forgive us!”

Seeing her daughter humiliated and beaten, Eleanor finally snapped out of her shock. She charged at Ethan like a feral animal, throwing two wild slaps at his face.

“You ungrateful bastard! How dare you lay a hand on my daughter!”

Ethan’s head snapped to the side, his jaw tightening as he wiped a smear of blood from the corner of his mouth, forcing down his rage.

“Eleanor, you got your hits in, so let’s consider the matter settled.”

“From this point forward, you are permanently banned from entering this corporate facility.”

Victoria’s tears fell like broken strings of pearls.

“Ethan Vance, I am giving you one final ultimatum. It’s either her or me. Choose right now!”
