My Boss Flies Me First Class And His Fiancée Flies Into A Rage Chapter 08

I watched the unfolding drama with absolute amusement, eager to accelerate the chaos.

“She’s completely right, Mr. Vance,” I chimed in, leaning back in my chair. “It’s either her or me. You can’t have both!”

Since Victoria was refusing to take the exit ramp and insisted on escalating the conflict, I was more than happy to oblige.

If she remained at the firm, she would only find more ways to make my corporate life miserable. I was the literal fountain of wealth for this entire operation—why should I tolerate an ounce of disrespect?

Ethan’s eyes were bloodshot, mapping the sheer exhaustion of a man who had flown halfway across the world and gone forty-eight hours without sleep.

But that wasn’t my problem. He wasn’t my man, and I felt absolutely no sympathy for his fatigue.

Ethan stared at Victoria, his mind clearly running through the cold calculations.

He was weighing his lifetime love against his life’s work.

Seeing his hesitation, Victoria mistakenly assumed she held the winning hand.

“Ethan, I know how hard you’ve worked to build this empire,” she said, her tone softening into an appeal.

“You can’t let everything you’ve built be destroyed by a manipulative outsider.”

“I’ve already taken care of it. The police are on their way.”

Ethan’s eyes snapped wide open, turning completely manic.

“The police? What the hell did you call the police for? Are you insane?”

Victoria looked at his bloodshot eyes, her expression shifting to one of protective pity.

“Ethan, I get it. When men hit a certain level of wealth, the temptations are endless. As long as you didn’t cross any ultimate lines, I can find it in my heart to forgive you.”

“Once we eliminate Chloe from the equation, we can go right back to how things used to be, okay?”

Eleanor chimed in, trying to play the mediator now that the tides had turned.

“Exactly, let’s be reasonable. You two have eight years of history together. The fact that you didn’t hit me back proves you still love my daughter.”

“Let’s just put an end to this circus today.”

I nodded along with her suggestion.

“I agree, Mr. Vance. This situation definitely needs a final, permanent resolution today.”

The choice was entirely his, and his decision would dictate my next move.

Before Ethan could formulate a response, the heavy glass doors opened again, and two police officers stepped into the lobby, their badges gleaming.

“We received a report regarding a corporate fraud case involving a high-dollar grand larceny.”

Victoria’s face lit up with absolute triumph as she pointed an aggressive finger at me.

“Officers, it’s her! She’s the one!”

“She’s been using an illegal corporate setup to launder company cash directly into her personal account. She’s stolen over five million dollars!”

It was true that over the past year, I had accepted substantial kickbacks from luxury vendors and resorts.

But Ethan had been fully aware of it and had actively encouraged the practice. He knew that the happier and more pampered I was, the faster his corporate returns would multiply.

Victoria threw me a vicious glare before handing a neatly prepared folder over to the officers.

“These bank statements are fully verified. The vendors cooperated with us, confirming that these payments were wired directly to Chloe’s private accounts.”

“We even have recorded audio evidence right here.”

She pressed play on a digital recorder.

“Yes, we can confirm Ms. Hayes spent two hundred thousand dollars at our private resort facility,” a vendor’s voice played through the speaker. “Per our prior arrangement with her, we issued a thirty thousand dollar private rebate directly to her account.”

Victoria shoved the folder right into Ethan’s face.

“Do you see the reality now, Ethan?”

“Chloe is a corporate rat, feeding from both ends of your business!”

Ethan looked at Victoria, his gaze transforming into something completely cold, detached, and utterly professional.

“Victoria, I am fully aware of every single one of these transactions. In fact, they were executed with my explicit authorization.”

Victoria froze, her jaw dropping.

“What? You… you’ve been enabling this mistress to this absolute extreme?”

“What could she possibly be doing to make you lose your mind like this?”

Ethan took a deep, steady breath. Given the final choice between love and his empire, the entrepreneur chose his empire without a single second of hesitation.

“We’re done, Victoria. The wedding is officially called off.”

Victoria’s face drained of color as her eyes welled with tears.

“What… what did you just say?”
