“Just a Freak Show, Don’t Be Dramatic” Chapter 07 Plan’s Still on

When I was tied up at the back of the ship, William Bennett’s men quickly arrived and took me away.

I boarded a flight to Estralia that very night.

William kept his word.

He found the best doctors to treat me.

My hand had recovered 80%. Although I could no longer control the scalpel with my former pinpoint precision, I could still conduct basic experiments.

I had been dedicating myself to researching a highly effective drug for the nervous system.

William had extended an olive branch to me more than once.

In the past, I had refused every single offer because I was unwilling to leave Axel and Dylan.

But now that I had seen their true colors, I made up my mind to take my knowledge and join him.

I knew perfectly well how he operated. He was a man who controlled both the light and the dark.

I was not so kind as to forgive the agony Axel and Dylan had put me through.

So I was going to use his hands to get my revenge.

I just never expected Axel and Dylan to show up right in front of me.

Axel looked totally exhausted, with bloodshot eyes.

He stood in my way and said in a raspy voice, “Nancy, come back with me. I know I messed up.”

Looking at the face I used to love so much, I suddenly felt so much disgust.

“Why would you think I’d ever go back with you?”

Dylan’s eyes were red as he said, “Nancy, we’ve been looking for you forever. Just come back with us.”

I was so furious that I couldn’t help but laugh in anger.

“Go back to do what? Watch you continue to hurt me for Willow’s sake? Hasn’t that been enough!”

Axel stepped forward and grabbed my hand.

“Listen to me. Willow has already been punished. We made her suffer the exact same pain.”

Dylan also took a few steps forward.

“Nancy, if you’re not happy, we can send her to the freak show for the rest of her life, okay?”

Feeling totally sick, I ripped my hand away from Axel.

“What right do you have to punish her? Are you the police? But you guys are the ones who hurt me bit by bit, right?

“You are just as guilty!”

As soon as I finished talking, their faces went completely white.

Axel turned around, grabbed a brick from the street, and smashed his own hand with it.

Right then, his hand was totally crushed and bloody.

Dylan didn’t even hesitate. He pulled out a knife and stabbed it right into his own waist.

Axel gritted his teeth through the blinding pain.

“I’m sorry. I’ll give it all back to you. Whatever you want, I’ll give it to you.”

In the past, if my husband or my brother had even a slight headache, my heart would have ached terribly

But now, looking at them, I felt absolutely nothing.

I turned around to walk away, but someone grabbed me again.

I frowned, about to turn my head to speak, but a shadow moved faster than I could.

It was William.

Without hesitation, he ruthlessly pried Axel’s hand off my arm.

Axel’s face went pale.

“Who is he?”

William shielded me behind him and spoke with deliberate calm, “She is mine. Why are you blocking her here?”

Dylan shot back without yielding, “I’m her own brother! And the man beside me is her husband!”

I cut in impatiently, “Listen, I an not Nancy anymore. Nancy drowned long ago when you tied her behind that ship!”

Axel tried to speak, but William raised a hand and kept them both at bay.

I turned and walked away, ignoring their desperate, hoarse/pleas behind me.

William studied my face in silence.

After a long pause, he asked, “Feeling sorry for them? You know how messed up you were when we brought you here.”

I gave him a look and said calmly, “Nope. Plan’s still on.”

He exhaled in relief and muttered, “Cool.”
