The Wolf Princess’s Seven Promised Mates Chapter 20

The Wolf Princess’s Seven Promised Mates Chapter 20

Silas’s eyes reddened silently. He did not rush to beg Father for mercy, but stared at me with overwhelming sorrow.

“Aurora, I am not in any of the videos.” His voice trembled faintly.

“My feelings for you have never wavered, not even once.”

I froze for a moment, carefully recalling the scandalous footage. He was right-Silas was the only

one who had never fallen for Selina’s seduction.

He was the only immune one among all the promised mates.

After a short silence, I frowned and asked, “If you truly love me, why did you join the others to

mock me?”

Bitterness flashed across Silas’s face, followed by a bleak, helpless smile.

“My original plan was to pretend to dislike you, to lure the other promised mates away

wanted you all to myself.”

you. I

“But I outsmarted myself. I never expected you to overhear those fake words…”

Silas’s POV

They call me the Smiling Assassin.

I always wear a gentle, warm smile. I can end a man’s life mid-conversation, or push someone

straight into hell with a smile on my face.

I speak a mix of truths and lies. Even Damian, the most powerful of the seven promised mates, can never tell when I am sincere and when I am deceiving.

Perhaps because I am too skilled at lying, I saw through Selina’s pretense the second she held my hand and smiled innocently.

She had said being abandoned did not matter, that she would always love me, and that the two of us could stand against the entire world as long as we were together.

I knew instantly it was all a lie.

She did not love me. She only wanted to use me.

I would never be her one and only.

All of Selina’s lies were weak and transparent to me, easy to see through at a glance.

Deep down, I utterly despised her.

But that was the nature of the Smiling Assassin. No matter how repulsive I found someone, I always

kept a smile on my face.

I never showed my hatred. Instead, I used Selina to firmly bind Damian to her side.

“Stop being naive about this sibling bond, Selina. You and Damian share no blood. A sibling bond without blood ties is fragile and will break sooner or later. Damian will abandon you one day.”

“Aurora is beautiful and outstanding. She will win Damian over eventually, and you will be left all

alone.”

“If I were you, I would strike first. Damian is old-fashioned and rigid. Once you cross that line with him, he will definitely take responsibility for you for the rest of his life…”

“Don’t take it seriously. I’m just talking nonsense. These are terrible tricks-don’t go astray.”

Under the guise of an elder brother’s reminder, I secretly instigated Selina and pushed her to drug

Damian.

Everything fell perfectly into place. Selina became Damian’s woman.

Damian was every bit as rigid as I knew. In his worldview, intimacy meant lifelong responsibility.

What was more, the woman he had slept with was the sister who had relied on him through every

hardship.

At first, Damian truly saw Selina as nothing more than family.

But after that accidental night, everything between them changed.

Damian had been trapped in endless conflict and agony ever since.

Emotionally and logically, he could not accept being with the sister he had protected and raised.

Yet he had already crossed the line with her.

Selina was the most important person in his past, and he could not bring himself to abandon her.

His feelings for her became twisted, confused, and contradictory, leaving him trapped in pain day after day.

I watched the scheme I had woven unfold perfectly and felt satisfied.

I had thought that if Damian fell for someone else, Aurora would finally be mine.

But I realize now-true love can never be won through schemes and manipulation.

I should have loved you gently and persistently, just like Asher Knight.
