The Wolf Princess’s Seven Promised Mates Chapter 19

The Wolf Princess’s Seven Promised Mates Chapter 19

Zane raised his hand and slapped his face twice, hard enough to leave bright red marks on his skin.

He then dropped heavily to his knees and bowed his head to knock three crisp, solemn bows to

Father.

“Alpha King, I will never forget your kindness.”

“If you will allow it, I wish to stay in the WPK for the rest of my life, serving you and repaying your grace with everything I have.”

“If you cannot bear to look at me any longer, I will leave at once. I will return to my old pack,

challenge its current Alpha, and seize power. After that, five percent of my pack’s annual income

will be unconditionally donated to the WPK forever.”

Father let out a heavy sigh, unmoved by his sincere oath of loyalty.

“Leave. I can never forgive anyone who has hurt my daughter.”

Zane knew there was no chance left for him to stay.

He stood up silently, then turned and pent his proud knees before me.

“Aurora, you are the person I have wronged the most in my life.”

Zane’s eyes were red and watery.

“I should have loved you wholeheartedly, yet I was blinded by Selina. I never gave you my true heart

and only brought you pain.”

“I know you will never easily forgive me, but I still need to say this-I’m sorry, Aurora.”

He bowed deeply and knocked a heavy bow to the ground before me.

“I have a long lifetime ahead of me to atone for my sins.”

“If you ever find it in your heart to forgive me one day, call me. My number will never change. I will spend my entire life waiting for that call.”

“No matter what danger or trouble you face in the future, come to me. I will walk through fire and sword for you, without hesitation.”

Zane bowed to me once more, then rose to his feet and left alone, his figure desolate and lonely.

The crowd watched his departing back and broke into murmurs of pity.

“Zane is not a bad person. He was just deceived by Selina.”

“He knows his mistakes and repents sincerely. The Alpha King is being too harsh.”

“There is no helping it. The Alpha King dotes on his daughter. He may pardon other wrongs, but harming Aurora is an unforgivable taboo with no room for redemption.”

Amid the crowd’s whispers, the remaining promised mates exchanged anxious glances. One after another, they knelt before Father, following Zane’s lead.

“Alpha King, I know I no longer deserve to call you Father, but you will always be my father in my heart.”

“I know you will never forgive me, but I cannot turn my back on your kindness.”

“Like Zane, I will dedicate a portion of my future income to repay your grace for the rest of my life.”

After three respectful bows to Father, the men rose to their feet and knelt solemnly before me.

“Aurora, I have never hated you. You are kind and perfect, the best person I have ever met.

“We mocked you behind your back not because we disliked you, but because Selina constantly compared herself to you. She grew anxious and insecure every time she fell short.”

“We only pretended to hate you to soothe her fragile ego and give her a false sense of security.”

“We are so sorry, Aurora. We cared only about comforting Selina’s vanity and completely ignored your feelings.”

“I know apologies are useless now. The harm is done, and I do not deserve your forgiveness.”

“But if you ever encounter trouble in the future, my promise stands. One call from you, and I will rush to your side, ready to burn and bleed for you.”

“My phone number will never change. I only hope to hear you call me brother again before I die–to feel like I am home once more.”

The promised mates bid me farewell one by one, then turned and left the palace with lonely,

defeated figures.

Among the seven promised mates, only Silas and Damian remained.
