My Billionaire Husband Lost His Memory, and I Left With His Child Chapter 03

Her eyes fell on the child in my arms.

She furrowed her brow, her voice uncertain. “This child… he looks so much like…”

“Impossible. The doctor said Adrian couldn’t have children,” Vanessa said.

I was about to explain earnestly, “That was a misdiagnosis.”

Footsteps came from behind, steady and measured.

Adrian stepped up beside Vanessa. “What’s wrong?”

I looked up and met Adrian’s deep, searching eyes. A chill ran down the back of my neck.

A flash of cruelty passed through Vanessa’s gaze.

Before I could speak, she softened her tone and turned toward him. “Adrian, you’ve forgotten. She’s the one who used to bully me all the time.”

“She just threatened me, said she was going to make my life miserable.”

She shrank into Adrian’s arms, fingers tugging lightly at his shirt. “I’m scared. Can you teach her a lesson… maybe force her to leave the country?

Adrian let go of Vanessa and looked down at her. His tone was unreadable. “She bullied you?”

Then he released her hand and started walking toward me, step by step.

I instinctively stepped back.

His gaze burned into me, his voice hoarse.

“What’s your name?”

His stare made my heart skip a beat. “Olivia Parker.”

It felt so familiar—the same intense, almost fanatical look he always gave when he came for me.

After a moment, he lifted his chin toward the nurse. “Take her in first. The child’s fever is high.”

Vanessa gritted her teeth behind him, glaring at me with pure resentment.

Fortunately, Leo was fine. After the IV fluids, he was cleared to go home.

As I walked out, I kept thinking that after everything that had happened today, I had to move to a new city. I couldn’t stay here.

I was considering where to go next when suddenly an arm shot around from behind, covering my mouth and nose.

I blacked out for a moment. When I opened my eyes again, I was in a small, dark room.

Adrian’s cool, clear voice brushed against my ear.

“Olivia Parker, be a good girl and be mine.”

“I can give you everything you want. You’re not allowed to run.”

I moved slightly, and faint metal clinked around my wrists and ankles. I looked down at the cuffs securing my wrists and ankles.

Familiar movements. Familiar words. The familiar Adrian.

They say you can’t step into the same river twice—but Adrian could.

I was dazed, almost thinking I’d slipped into another world. “Why did it take you so long to find me this time?”

Something must have triggered him. His pupils contracted sharply. He pressed hard against his temple.

His body swayed, and in the next second, he collapsed directly onto me.

The door was flung open at that moment.

Vanessa stood in front, with Mr. and Mrs. Whitmore right behind her.

Her gaze swept over everything, landing on my restrained hands and feet. She wavered, almost losing her balance.

Mrs. Whitmore held the doorframe, nearly fainting. “Olivia, it’s you again? How did you two get tangled up together again this time?”
