My Dad Chose My Aunt 10 Times, Unaware I Stripped His Billion Legacy Chapter 08

My Dad Chose My Aunt 10 Times, Unaware I Stripped His Billion Legacy Chapter 08

After that day, the entire internet exploded over the Whitmore family’s hidden secrets.

The trending topics were scrubbed within hours-replaced by some celebrity scandal.

But beneath the surface, the whispers kept swirling through elite circles.

At the Whitmore Estate, Arthur suffered a heart attack from sheer rage-his hair turning white

overnight.

Under these circumstances, Nathaniel stopped going to the company.

He stopped returning to the estate as well.

No one knew where Fiona had been locked away.

He only stayed in the villa, drowning himself in alcohol day after day.

This went on for eight years.

On the rare days he sobered up, he’d go mad again-storming into the garden, ripping roses off their stems one by one.

Then came the helicopters, delivering crate after crate of fresh lavender.

Day and night, lavender was planted.

The flowers still bloomed. But the one who had loved them was long gone.

I watched him smash every piece of furniture in the villa, desperately trying to piece the old home back together from memory.

I let out a mocking laugh and turned to leave without a second glance.

But I ran straight into Arthur.

› He looked far older now.

His gaze landed on me, complicated and heavy.

His voice was weak, carrying the fragility of old age.

“He’s still your father. For my sake-don’t destroy him.’

The feigned admiration drained from my eyes, replaced by cold, cutting scorn.

“But… you helped kill my mother too.”

So how could he possibly expect me to show mercy for Nathaniel because of him?

I stayed calm.

“You knew Fiona was scheming behind the scenes.

“But to train Nathaniel-to ‘build his character’-you stood by and watched us get driven into the

slums.”

“Watched us get pushed to the brink of death.”

I paused. My tone stayed flat.

“You even say ‘for your sake’…”

“You mean the times you forced my mother to sell her blood, to test experimental drugs-just to get us a few doses that barely kept me alive?”

“Or when you watched Fiona’s driver nearly send me to my death-and only stepped in because you’d finally realized I carried the Whitmore bloodline?”

Arthur’s back slowly hunched. As if strength drained out of him.

I scoffed. “You and Dad really are alike. Greedy to the core.”

He suddenly looked like nothing more than an ordinary old man.

“I know… I wronged you. Both of you.”

His voice trembled.

“But if I hadn’t loosened my grip, you couldn’t have risen so fast…”

I looked at him calmly.

His voice faltered. Then-silence.

Then I spoke, “If I hadn’t proved myself capable, you wouldn’t have loosened your grip this fast. Would you?”

I let the silence stretch-then smiled at the way his face crumbled.

“Do you really think those failed fetuses in your secret labs were just accidents?”

After I slipped his leash, a man with his obsessive need for control was bound to have a backup plan.

He’d activated his frozen sperm.

After all-another Whitmore heir, and I’d be disposable.

This disobedient great-granddaughter of his? No longer necessary.

And what better replacement than a child molded from birth to worship hirn?

“Such a pity.”

I sighed softly, almost mournfully-as his eyes blazed with fury.

Then I turned to the bodyguards.

“He’s old. Send him to Golden Meadows Retirement Home. See that he’s… well cared for.”

The sun sank into the distant mountains.

I stepped into my car and gave my assistant a calm order.

“Tell the elders to start preparing for my inheritance gala.”
