A band of rogues swarmed toward me with cold, lifeless stares.

They seized my weakened body and dragged me ruthlessly like garbage.

“Daniel! What do you think you’re doing?! I’m your fated mate—the pack’s Luna!”

“Look at the state I’m in… Where are you dragging me?”

“You’ll live to regret this! Mark my words!”

I screamed in despair, but all I got in return was his cold voice.

“I never second-guess my decisions. Besides, I don’t want a mate as cruel as you, and this pack has no need for a Luna like that either.”

The rogues dragged me brutally out of the pack hospital without mercy. Fresh blood trickled steadily down my thighs.

After what felt like forever, I was thrown into an abandoned factory.

The entire area was desolate and abandoned, filled with nothing but the stench of rust and dust.

The rogues crowded around me, leering with disgusting grins.

“Emily, the Alpha’s orders. Ninety-nine lashes for harming a pup. Not one less.”

I used every ounce of strength I had to crawl backward.

“No… please…”

A burly bald man licked his lips and ran his lecherous eyes over my body.

“Ninety-nine lashes? That’ll beat someone half to death.”

“The Alpha’s done with her anyway. Why don’t we have some fun first before the whipping?”

“Think about it. She used to be the pack’s Luna. She must have a great body.”

They exchanged glances and quickly shared a silent, malicious understanding.

Grinning, they pulled off their shirts and stepped toward me.

I let out a shrill scream and struggled wildly, but my weakened body couldn’t fight back.

Just as I thought it was over, a voice boomed from the factory entrance.

“Stop!”

A man in a black suit stood in the doorway, a moon-shaped emblem pinned to his chest. He stared furiously at the men surrounding me.

“Do you have any idea who you’re laying your hands on?”

An oppressive wave of Alpha authority radiated from him.

The rogues didn’t even dare to resist. They fell to their knees at once, too terrified to put up any resistance.

He ignored them and walked straight to me. His amber eyes softened

with pain as he looked at my broken body.

“You stubborn girl. Why did you push yourself to break like this?”

He took off his suit jacket and draped it over me, then lifted me into his arms and carried me outside.

In the moonlight, I finally recognized him.

“Jason?”

The man who saved me was none other than Jason Adams, the Alpha of MoonLight Pack—the one who had once courted me.

“So you still remember me, then.”

“What are you doing here?”

“Alpha Matthew sent for me. He feared you’d run into trouble, so he told me to come fetch you. Thank the Moon Goddess I arrived in time.”

His arms tightened around me, and I could feel his anger. If he hadn’t shown up, I wouldn’t have survived that factory.

“Jason, before we leave, arrange a fake death certificate for me. Emily is dead. From now on, there’s only the princess of SilverMoon Pack.”

“As you wish, my princess.”

I intended to disappear entirely from Daniel’s world, robbing him of any chance to repent.

“Daniel, I hope you never regret this. Because if you do, hell will be the only fate left for you.”
