I tossed the phone aside and wrapped my arms around Marco’s neck.

“Marco, someone just threatened me. What should I do?”

Marco gripped my waist, his voice low.

“Don’t be afraid. I’ll deal with them, one by one.”

“But for now, we have more important things to do.”

When the clock struck midnight, Marco held me close and let out a long, shuddering breath.

Just then, someone knocked frantically on the door.

Dante’s trembling voice came from the other side.

“Meredith… please. Save me.”

Immediately after, screams erupted in the hallway.

“Oh my God, Mr. Romano, what’s happening to your body?”

It seemed that almost everyone who had attended the wedding had been waiting outside our door.

They were all waiting for the outcome.

Now, they had it.

Dante’s roars mixed with the guests’ screams, throwing the entire corridor into chaos.

I slowly got dressed.

Marco hugged me from behind.

“My wife, I finally believe it. The curse is real. Thank you for saving me.”

I smiled.

“I knew it was real all along.”

Marco paused.

“But I thought no one in the Romano family had actually suffered an attack in the last fifty years.”

I said nothing.

My mind had already drifted back to my previous life.
