The moment I stepped out of the treatment room, Julian intercepted me, his face dark.

Disappointment flooded his eyes as he dragged me the other way.

As she cried, the concern in their eyes vanished. It was replaced by disappointment and blame.

Blood streamed down my head as I stood up, the system’s shrill warning screaming in my ears.

Panic surged through me. I pushed myself up and ran toward the stairs.

Behind me, Julian and Leo shouted furiously.

I smiled, turned, and didn’t stop.

On the first floor, in the Main Atrium, a middle-aged man twisted his face in madness and pulled a knife from his bag.

People screamed and backed away. I ran straight against the crowd, a folding knife flashing in my hand.

The man’s blade plunged into my chest. Seven times.

I drove my knife into his temple with everything I had.

His eyes widened in shock as he staggered back and collapsed.

I smiled, blood spilling from my mouth as I fell beside him.

“Mom… I’m back. Vivian’s home.”

Several people rushed forward and restrained the man.

Minutes later, the hospital broadcast blared.

“Emergency alert. Code 222 and Code 999 in the Main Atrium.”

On the third floor, the Sinclair family stood frozen.
