I Became the Villainess So I Struck First Chapter 08

A few days later.

Elena bandaged another survivor, murmuring gentle comfort, collecting waves of gratitude as

always.

“Elena’s such a kind soul…”

“If it weren’t for her, my wound would’ve rotted away…”

“She gave her last water to that feverish child yesterday…”

She stood in the center of the crowd, her white dress spotless, a soft smile on her face. Sunlight streamed through the broken dome, gilding her like a figure from a painting.

I lifted my hand, fixing my gaze on her left arm.

After days of relentless, near-sleepless practice, I had mastered the offensive application of my spatial ability. Within a three-meter radius of me, space could be twisted, compressed, and torn.

I flicked my wrist gently.

Crack-

The sound of shattering bone, sharp as a snapped dry branch.

Elena’s scream pierced the entire stadium at once.

“Ah-!”

Her left arm twisted at a grotesque angle, her white dress soaking through with blood in an instant. She collapsed to the ground, clutching her arm and writhing, each scream more desperate than the

last.

The crowd erupted.

“What’s happening?!” “What’s wrong?!” “Zombies?!”

Panic spread, people scrambling in all directions.

I stood slowly, brushing dust off my clothes.

Under every stare, I walked toward her step by step.

Elena curled on the floor, tears streaming down her face. She looked up at me, terror overflowing in

her eyes.

“You… it was you…”

“Yes, it was me.”

The crowd fell silent, then burst into even louder uproar.

“It’s her?!”

“How did she do that?”

“I thought she was just normal?!”

Someone rushed forward to help Elena, but I froze them with a single glance.

“Whoever touches her is next.”

The person stopped dead.

Elena scrambled backward, her broken arm leaving a trail of blood on the floor.

“You’re crazy… why hurt me… what did I ever do to you…”

She sobbed pitifully, voice trembling.

Someone in the crowd snapped.

“What gives you the right to attack her?!”

“Elena’s nothing but good-how dare you?!”

“We have ability users here! We’re not afraid of you! Let’s take her down together!”

Several men charged at me.

I didn’t even glance at them, just raised my hand.

Spatial shredding.

The man in front-tall and thin, who’d thanked Elena endlessly for bandaging him just yesterday- his right leg twisted violently.

Crack.

He screamed and crumpled.

The crowd went dead silent, everyone backing away.

I looked at them, tone calm.

“Anyone else?”

No one dared move.

I stepped in front of Elena, looking down at her.

She curled up, trembling all over, left arm still bleeding, face as pale as paper.

“Wh-what do you want…” I allowed a faint, cold smile to touch my lips.

“Elena. You claim to be a healer. Then heal yourself.”

She froze, mouth opening and closing, unable to speak.

“Can’t do it, can you?” I laughed again, a short, harsh sound. “Because you never had a healing ability at all.”

“You only have one ability-plunder.”

The crowd stirred again.

“Plunder?” “What does that mean?” “What’s she talking about?”

I stood straight, facing the crowd.

“Do you want to know how she ‘awakened’ that ice ability?”

No one spoke, all staring at me in shock and doubt.

“That night, she pressed her hand to Luna’s forehead. And she stole Luna’s ice ability right out from under her.”

Luna’s face drained of color instantly.

I scanned the crowd, continuing.

“Who here had a fever? Who was ‘cared for’ by her? Who woke up with nothing, no power at all?”

At those words, several more faces paled.

A middle-aged woman stepped forward.

“I… I had a fever that night, she stayed with me… I got better, but nothing happened… I thought I

was just unlucky…”

A young man followed.

“Me too… I was delirious with fever, and when I woke up… nothing.”

I nodded.

“Your abilities were stolen. By her.”

“She is no dual-ability user.”

“She has only one true ability. Theft.”

Elena’s face twisted completely.

“You’re lying!” she shrieked. “What gives you the right to say that?! Where’s your proof?!”
