He Gave Me a Divorce, I Gave Him Ruin Chapter 18

Ethan crushed the restraining order in his fist, his eyes bloodshot.

He couldn’t accept it.

He, Ethan Sterling, was being barred from a property by a single piece of paper.

A few days later, on the night I hosted a fundraising dinner for my father’s foundation, Ethan forced his way in.

The guests were mingling quietly, champagne flutes in hand. The atmosphere was calm and civilized, but the moment he appeared, a hush fell over the room.

“Amelia!”

He came straight for me, seizing my arm in a brutal grip. His voice was low and hard.

“You’re coming with me.”

I didn’t even bother to struggle. I just looked at him.

The butler had already quietly made a call.

Moments later, two police officers moved through the crowd and walked directly up to us.

“Sir, please let go of the lady,” one of the officers said.

Ethan was so used to being untouchable that he didn’t take them seriously. He only tightened his grip.

“Get lost! This is a family matter!”

The police were not impressed.

The two officers exchanged a look. One of them moved with swift, practiced efficiency, twisting Ethan’s arm behind his back.
