He Scorned Me, Now I’m a CEO He Can’t Afford Chapter 32

Lena paused.

Was this a pickup line?

It was certainly a professional-sounding one.

“Talk sometime” was an opening from a business reception, not a chance encounter outside a rodeo.

She studied him, keeping her expression neutral.

He was completely different from Wyatt, from any of the cowboys she had ever known.

He didn’t carry that rough scent of sun, leather, and dust.

He was clean.

Controlled.

“I know this is sudden.” Logan seemed to sense her hesitation and ran a hand through his hair, looking genuinely embarrassed. “I can’t explain it. When I saw you, you just… felt familiar.”

If one of Wyatt’s friends had said that, Lena would have rolled her eyes.

But looking into Logan’s clear, steady eyes, she somehow believed him.

She even felt a faint echo of that same familiarity.

After a moment’s thought, she pulled out her phone.

They exchanged numbers, and his name appeared on her screen.

“Logan.”

“Lena.”

The moment she said her name, Logan looked up, and a flicker of surprise crossed his face.

“Lena?” he repeated, almost to himself.
