Silenced Omega Chapter 13

Silenced Omega Chapter 13

The car window shattered with a single punch.

The lone-wolf Alpha’s pheromones were an icy blade, cutting through the fire and smoke.

Archer’s face appeared outside the car.

In the firelight, his eyes glowed with a faint gold.

The mark of a pure-blood Alpha.

He reached in, tore the door lock apart, and dragged Laney from the inferno.

“Move.”

He threw her onto his back and charged toward the cliff’s edge.

Their pursuers were already closing in.

Archer held a knife in one hand and shielded her with the other, carving a bloody path through the encirclement. He moved with shocking speed.

Bullets whizzed past them. The blade flashed again and again in the firelight.

An Alpha’s speed and strength allowed him to hold off a dozen men.

But soon, deep wounds appeared on his body. His steps began to falter, yet he never stopped.

Ahead was the cliff.

Below, the Hudson River churned.

A strange fog hung over the water.

It was an ancient pheromone-blocking formation. Anyone who fell in would have their scent completely erased, making them impossible to track.

Archer said in a low voice, “Hold on.”

The next second, he jumped.

The freezing river swallowed them both.

Their pheromones vanished.

Their trail vanished.

They disappeared into the dark waters of the Hudson.

At the same time, Camden and Preston both got the news.

“Target was rescued by an unknown party and disappeared after jumping into the river. We have no way to track them inside the blocking zone.”

Preston’s Alpha pheromones flared violently.

He smashed his phone against a rock.

“Find them. I want to see them alive, or I want to see their bodies.”

Camden picked up his own phone, giving orders to the man on the other end.

“Organize a search and rescue team. Immediately. Search upstream and downstream. I want every boat and every diver in the water. I want to know where they are right now.”
