My Husband’s Mistress Fed Me Bugs Chapter 19

Dragging his injured leg, he stumbled two steps forward, his eyes locked on me.

“Estelle, who is he?”

“How can you let him touch you?”

“What does that make me?”

I smiled, then lifted my head and kissed Conrad on the cheek.

I looked back at Orion.

“He’s my fiancé.”

“You?”

“You’re nothing.”

“I am the heir to the Hayes family.”

“Someone like you is not worthy of touching me.”

Orion froze.

Those were the exact words he had thrown at me just days ago.

Now, I was returning them, word for word.

Conrad glanced at Orion, his expression one of utter boredom.

The car window began to rise.

Orion panicked, reaching out as if to stop us.

But he was too slow.

“Drive.”

“Don’t pay him any mind.”

Outside the car, Orion dragged his injured leg and chased us for a few agonizing steps.

“Estelle Hayes, come back!”

“Please, come back!”

But the car just pulled farther and farther away.

Finally, he collapsed onto the roadside, a broken sob escaping his lips.

Without me, he never would have gotten to where he was.

Now, I had taken that road back.

And from now on, no one would ever be there to pave it for him again.
