My Husband’s Mistress Fed Me Bugs Chapter 16

Before he could finish, another assistant rushed in, frantic.

“Mr. DeLuca, we have a problem.”

“What now?”

“Both the DeLuca and Ricci companies are in trouble.”

“After the market opened this morning, both our stock prices have been in freefall.”

“Someone is waging a full-scale assault on us in the market.”

“From the looks of it, they have no intention of letting up.”

Orion was so agitated he jarred his injured leg, his face twisting in pain.

Chiara, her wounds freshly stitched, was wheeled over.

She overheard the news and went completely blank.

“What?”

“Who’s making a move on our companies?”

Mr. DeLuca’s face was like stone as he looked at Orion.

“What, exactly, did you do to Estelle Hayes?”

Orion was stunned.

He had never, in his wildest dreams, imagined that Estelle Hayes was one of *those* Hayeses.

No wonder she had never been afraid of him.

No wonder she had been able to turn the tables so completely.

Only people like them could pull off something like that.

Chiara, still ignorant of Estelle’s true identity, opened her mouth.

“What else could we have done?”

“We just made fun of her poor background, tricked her with a fake wedding, and threw some cockroaches in to scare her while she was taking a bath—”

*Thud.*

Before she could finish, Mr. Ricci kicked her hospital bed so hard she nearly fell out.

“You dared to treat her like that?”

“It would be a miracle if she didn’t retaliate.”

“You two idiots have dragged both our families down with you.”
