The Princess Who Left the Alpha Family Chapter 07

The Princess Who Left the Alpha Family Chapter 07

Calyra gritted her teeth. But she kept quiet.

Lucien moved my body. Special facility. Preservation drugs. No decay.

Then they went home.

Mom couldn’t breathe without me. She went to my room. Started going through my things.

She found my journal.

She opened it.

[May 21st. Sunny. Lost count of how many times Calyra’s set me up. She fakes a depressive episode. Threatens suicide. Everyone circles her. I get blamed I know she’s not depressed. I watched her dump her meds down the drain. I saw it. No

one believed me.]

[That time she got drunk and hooked up with a group of guys? She told Mom and Dad I tricked her into going out. Said I

got her assaulted. I couldn’t defend myself.]

[Calyra speaks. Everyone listens. The Nightwind Pack could investigate. One phone call. But they never do. They trust her.

Always her. I’m just the liar. The schemer. The wicked one.]

Mom read every page. Tears soaked the paper.

When she finished, she had the truth.

She stormed downstairs. Journal in hand.

She threw it at Dad and Lucien.

They read. Their faces matched hers.

Rage. Agony.

Calyra’s voice was small. “What does it say?”

Lucien passed the journal to Kellan.

Calyra crowded him to read.

“No. Lies! She’s making me look bad from the grave. You’re seriously gonna believe a dead girl’s diary over me?”

Mom’s voice was raw. “She’s dead, Calyra. She gave her life. You think she threw herself off a roof just to frame you?”

“Why not? She hated us. Hated that she didn’t belong. Hated that she wasn’t really one of us. She wanted to torch this

family on her way out. That’s evil. Pure evil.”

Kellan’s voice shook “Veyra wrote…. that crash. When I was pinned. Bleeding out. The car… it was gonna blow.

“She said she dragged me out. Risked everything.”

“You told me you saved me. You. Not her. So how did Veyra know? Every detail. The smell of the smoke. The sound of the

metal ripping apart. How?”

Calyra’s face went pale. “I… I must have told her. She remembered.”

“You said you blacked out. You couldn’t remember anything.”

Calyra grabbed her skull. “My head. It hurts. I can’t think.”

“Kellan, please. I almost died pulling you out of that wreck. You know that. It’s why I get the migraines. It’s why I’m like

this.”

‘I’m your mate. Why are you trusting a dead girl’s diary over me?”

Kellan’s eyes were ice. “Something’s not right with you.”

Calyra shrieked. “Nothing’s wrong with me! Why are you choosing a corpse over your own mate?”

Lucien snatched the journal back. “If there are questions, we’re getting answers. I’m opening an investigation. Right now.”

Calyra’s knees wobbled. She grabbed her head again.

“You don’t trust me. Fine. I’ll just die. That’ll prove it.”

She bolted upstairs. “I’ll jump. Right now.”

Mom scrambled after her. “Calyra! Stop!”

Everyone followed.

Lucien leaned against the doorframe. Unmoved.

Third floor. Onto grass. You’ll break a leg. Maybe. You won’t die.”

“If you really wanted to die, you’d find a way. Right? That’s what you always say.”
