He Signed Divorce Papers Then Found My Wedding Photo Chapter 06

Adrian stared at Logan Whitmore’s face, stunned at first. Then, with stiff movements, he took my phone out of his pocket.

After he turned it on, the lock screen photo appeared.

The man in the photo was the same man standing in front of him.

Adrian’s face went deathly pale.

The driver saw that Adrian still had not moved. Unable to take the pressure, he opened the door first.

I seized the chance and rushed forward, getting out with him and throwing myself into Logan’s arms.

“How did you know I was here?”

Logan kept his gun trained on Adrian while wrapping his other arm around me in quiet reassurance.

“After you hung up on me yesterday, I knew something was wrong, so I checked the location from your watch.”

“Evie, what did this animal do to you?”

The moment he said that, I suddenly remembered Milo and panicked.

“He took Milo. He’s trying to send him away.”

Logan’s expression hardened. He yanked the car door open with sheer force and dragged Adrian out.

“You bastard. What did you do to my son?”

No one could stay calm with a gun aimed at their temple.

Adrian’s face turned white, and he looked toward me.

“Is he really an actor, or are you actually married?”

With a heavy thud, Logan punched him to the ground the second the words left his mouth.

When Logan moved to hit him again, his colleagues held him back.

“Logan, calm down. Let’s take him in first.”

“We’ll go after Milo. You and your wife don’t need to worry.”

The veins at Logan’s temples were bulging. He grabbed Adrian by the collar and pulled out his credentials.

“An actor? Who has the time to put on a show for you?”

Adrian’s face went even paler.

He had always believed he could do whatever he wanted in Harbor City.

But a man like him wouldn’t even get the chance to meet a man with Logan’s status under normal circumstances.

“No wonder I couldn’t find anything…”

His eyes tightened as he muttered those words. Then he seemed to realize something and suddenly looked at me.

“Then Milo…”

“Milo isn’t your son. I told you that many times.”

I could barely hide the hatred in my eyes, and my voice was thick with disgust.

“What makes you think someone like you deserves a child from me?”

“Not long after the divorce, I got together with Logan. Milo is his son.”

Adrian clenched his fists in disbelief.

“How could you do that? You betrayed me just because I missed one phone call?”

“I thought you were just throwing a tantrum, but you already had a child with another man?”

I let out a cold laugh.

“We were divorced. I had every right to be with whoever I wanted. How was that betrayal?”

“And if we’re talking about betrayal, didn’t you betray me first?”

“Sienna and I were only coworkers!”

He was starting to lose control.

“Nothing ever happened between us. You were the one who never believed me.”

“Really? Then explain the paternity test.”

Adrian froze.

I went on.

“Milo isn’t your child, yet Sienna insisted he was. What do you think she was trying to do?”

“Adrian Lancaster, are you truly blind to what kind of person she is, or do you simply not want to see it?”

The lazy indifference he always wore had vanished from his face.

Only shock remained.

At this point, everyone understood what had happened.

Seeing that Logan’s colleagues had Adrian under control, I no longer wanted to say anything else. I turned to leave.

But Adrian suddenly called after me.

“Evelyn!”

“What exactly happened that night?”

I turned back and met his bloodshot eyes.

“What happened that made you so determined to divorce me, then turn around and be with someone else?”
