Boyfriend Dumped Me for “Heiress” BFF? Your New Girl Calls ME “Boss” Every Day! Chapter 11

Carter’s eyes were dead.

He looked at me like I was some crazy bitch.

“Done with your tantrum? Take the shares. Sign the papers. Now.”

My legs gave out.

“Fine! Fine! You wanna throw me away? I’ll burn it all! Everything!”

I spun around and stormed into the study.

I yanked open his desk drawer and grabbed the stack inside-his biggest project proposal, the one he’d been working

on for months.

Riiip.

I tore them to shreds right in front of him.

His face went white. “Mia! What the fuck-”

I grabbed the glass and smashed it into his computer.

The screen went black. Sparks flew.

I pointed at the wreckage, chest heaving.

“You wanted crazy? Here’s crazy!”

Carter snapped. He grabbed my wrist so hard I screamed.

His eyes were bloodshot. His voice came out like a growl.

“You’ve completely lost it!”

I laughed wildly.

“Yeah? You made me this way!”

I tried to yank free. His grip crushed my wrist.

He took a breath, his voice dropping low and dangerous.

“Six months of work. Gone. Do you have any idea what you just cost me?”

He stared at me with cold disgust.

Then he let go. I nearly collapsed.

He picked up the torn agreement and said flatly:

“Twenty percent. Sign it. We’re done.”

Done.

Seven years. A price tag.

He shoved a pen at me.

“Sign it, Mia. Then I don’t have to deal with your crazy ass anymore.”

I looked into his eyes. Nothing.

My hand shook as I signed.

Carter watched without emotion. Like he’d finally escaped.

Then he pulled out another document.

“The house. Yours too.”

I looked up.

We’d picked this place together. He’d called it “our home.”

Now he was throwing it at me like trash.

He turned to leave.

“I’m moving out tonight. You’ll never see me again.”

I stood frozen.

He opened the door. Cold air rushed in.

He walked out without looking back.

The door slammed shut.

I was alone.

My phone buzzed.

Unknown number.

“You lost, sweetheart. Time to pay up on that little promise.”

I stared at the screen.

“Fine.”
