His Memory Reset To Love, My Heart Stuck At Goodbye Chapter 01

His Memory Reset To Love, My Heart Stuck At Goodbye Chapter 01

After the accident that left my face scarred, I finally learned to keep my head down as Mrs. Black.

No more flying into a rage over Alexander cheating with the lead singer while I was pregnant.

No more breaking down at the sight of high heels in our bedroom that weren’t mine.

When he got hurt in that racing accident, I even made sure his beloved Selina White could stay with him, quietly playing the part of a considerate wife.

My son’s little face, just recovered from a fever, looked worried.

“Mom, are you getting back at Selina?”

“Daddy said it was an accident that your face got hurt. It’s not her fault.”

“She’s not in great health… taking care of sick people like that is exhausting.”

I paused while tucking him in, then nodded.

“It is hard work, so I won’t stay by your side tonight.”

Liam didn’t expect me to say that. He gasped and immediately called his dad to tattle.

But Alexander, who normally only scolded me, was unusually silent.

After a long pause, he ground his teeth and sneered, “I just got married. Since when do I have a kid?”

“And who’s this ugly woman crying next to me?”

There was a hint of grievance under his irritation. “My head hurts… why hasn’t Vivi come to pick me up yet?”

I froze.

“Vivi”, his endearing name for me back when he loved me most.

I walked into the hospital room.

Alexander sat there, face stern, warning Selina to stay away.

When he saw me, his eyes brightened.

“Vivi, get this woman out of here! She’s trying to seduce me!”

Selina froze mid-motion, soup spoon in hand, tears quickly welling.

I paused, surprised. I had thought the doctors’ story about his amnesia was another trick of Alexander’s, just like the time his assistant asked me to deliver an “urgent item” to him.

What I actually delivered… was a single, ultra-thin condom.

Not for him, but to prove to Selina that I was no longer in his heart.

Back then, wrapped in a towel, he had pulled Selina into his arms, face full of adoration.

“Happy now, little troublemaker?”

But now… Alexander turned his head away as if avoiding a plague. Not even a glance at Selina.

Selina wiped her eyes, finally giving up.

She stood and looked at me like she was dealing with a nurse.

“Vivian, I won’t let your efforts go to waste. I’ll transfer the caregiving stipend to you.”

I didn’t refuse.

Alexander had cut off all my financial resources. Honestly, I needed the money.

“Just… don’t try to seduce him while he’s lost his memory,” she added.

“After all, Alex said just looking at you makes him sick.”

Compared to everything he’d done before, such words were harmless. I didn’t intend to argue.

But Alexander exploded.

“You manipulative little witch!”

“Wanna see if I throw you off the balcony?”

Seeing the anger on his face made my numb heart twitch.

His status in the industry was immense now. In public, he was always the gentlemanly, considerate figure. But this raw, impulsive energy… the last time I’d seen it was at my parents’ funeral.

Back then, he spread his thin frame to shield me from predatory relatives.

After chasing them off, he wiped my tears with his still-bleeding hand, gentle as if I were his most precious possession.

“Vivi, I’ll protect you forever.”

Selina stormed out, angry.

Alexander barely moved his brows, only tugging my sleeve carefully.

“Vivi… I don’t know her. She’s lying. Don’t get mad.”

His eyes were full of unease, just like the helpless look he used to give when he’d upset me as a teenager.

Later, he mastered handling everything with effortless composure, even when caught in an affair, he could casually light a cigarette and say, “Vivi, do you leave on your own, or should the bodyguards escort you?”

I’d faced so many humiliating situations that even looking at the Alexander frozen in his memory six years ago, I couldn’t pretend none of it had happened.
