Hollywood Rico glanced at the rearview mirror. 

“Why do I feel like I’ve acted in this scene before? Oh, right. It’s ‘Don’t leave me.‘ Look at your husband. Is he shouting 

‘Don’t leave me‘?” 

I rolled my eyes at him. 

Just then, I received a voice message from Noah’s smartwatch. 

“Is it over?” 

That was our code. 

My heart loosened. 

It seemed Noah had guessed it was acting. 

The System popped champagne in my head. 

“Final task completed. Reward of one hundred fifty thousand 

dollars has been issued.” 

“You heartless cruel ex–wife, you’re officially offstage.” 

“As for little me, I’m almost done with work too.” 

I pressed down hard on the corners of my mouth and wiped 

away my tears. 

“Am I really leaving?” 

“I won’t come back again?” 

The System said, “I still have hundreds of worlds to handle… I 

I’m very busy with work. I won’t have time to come

back.” 

After paying Hollywood Rico, I used the money from the 

System to buy a big house. 

Every day, I ate and drank well. 

But I missed Noah terribly. 

After realizing the System had not appeared for several days, I 

hurried back to find Noah. 

When Serena appeared in front of me, I was taking Noah to eat 

skewers at a late–night K–Town BBQ spot. 

It was a family–run old spot with incredible flavor. 

Noah ate until his mouth was shiny with oil. 

Serena was not polite at all. She picked up a signature lamb 

skewer and ate one. 

Her behavior was strange. She looked around, then questioned 

me in a low voice. 

“How can you bring a child to eat this kind of junk food? So 

crude.” 

“Come on, sweet Noah. I’ll take you to eat something 

nutritious.” 

I was speechless. 

Noah kept chewing his skewer. 

Serena picked up another one and finished it quickly. 

“Do you know what kind of mother a child needs?” 

“Someone like you doesn’t deserve to be a mom.” 

When she reached for a third skewer, Noah protected the plate. 

She coughed lightly. 

“Since you don’t love Caleb or the child, and you’re already divorced, stop showing up in front of them.” 

“You never visited him once when he was in the hospital. When he had a fever, you kicked him out to work…” 

As she spoke, she touched the chili jar on the table, then her eyes began to redden. 

It was the house extra–hot chili from an old family–run spot. I 

had just been about to warn her. 

But she kept going on and on. 

“Do you know how tired he really is? Stop torturing him. If you left because you don’t love him, then don’t come back.” 

“Jesus, my eyes. It burns. I’m dying. Kill me now. I can’t do 

this.” 

“What am I, desperate? Do I have to pick up a secondhand man 

with a child?” 

Then she cried and ran away without looking back. 

Right then, the System, which had been quiet for a long time, 

suddenly returned. 

I was so frightened that I jumped up and sat at another table, pretending I had not seen Noah. 

Out of habit, I quickly blinked at Noah. 

The System said, “What’s going on? Why was I sent back to 

this world?” 

“My colleague said the Serena under his management can’t handle Caleb? She wants to quit? Quit my ass.” 

“Forget it. You’re free anyway. We’ll just switch heroines. I’ll 

have him bind you instead. You can be the heroine and complete the task, or none of us will have a good time.” 

“This is so annoying. What kind of System is this bad at its job? Being in the same group as him is dragging down my performance…”

A moment later, a new voice appeared in my head. 

“Hello. I am your System. Your current task is to win over 

male lead Caleb.” 

“Love Caleb and the son he had with his ex–wife. Make him 

love you with all his heart.” 

“If you fail to complete the task, I will erase…” 

Me: “Enough. I know.” 

Me: “This task is too hard. Is there a reward? If there’s no 

reward, I’m not doing it.” 

The New System said, “How about I apply for one? My level is low, so I may not be able to get much.” 

Me: “Then apply first. I’ll reluctantly accept the task for now.”
