Reborn as Mogul Sons’ Foster Mom Chapter 03

Reborn as Mogul Sons’ Foster Mom Chapter 3 Fake Concern
When they saw how serious I was, the couple started to panic.
“Stop talking nonsense!” The man said, but his voice sounded shaky.
The woman snapped too, stiffening up, “Yeah! We never left our kids behind!
“Quit stirring up trouble!”
“We’ll see who’s right when the police get here,” I said coolly, holding up my phone.
Brittany’s smile vanished. “Lani, do you really have to go this far?”
“Yeah! Why drag the cops into this?” Nathan added, annoyed.
“Just give the kids back already!”
As he spoke, he stepped forward, reaching to grab one of the children behind me.
The little ones freaked out and started bawling.
“No, we want to stay with Auntie!”
“Go away!”

My face turned cold immediately, and I shoved Nathan hard. “What? Are you trying to snatch them in broad daylight?”
The push caught him off guard and sent him stumbling backwards.
“Leilani! Did you just push me?”
Nathan’s face darkened with fury, his eyes practically burning.
“Lani, can’t we talk like adults? Look at how scared the kids are,” Brittany tried to calm things down, stepping up to comfort the children.
However, I blocked her path without a word.
The man groaned, clearly losing his patience. “Gosh, why are you so stubborn?
“You’re young, so you’ll have your own kids someday. Why are you stealing ours?”
The woman’s eyes welled up with tears.
“I’m begging you, please give them back!”
Suddenly, she dropped to her knees in front of me, shoulders trembling as she cried.
“Honey, get down! We have to beg her!”
She pulled the man down with her.
Immediately, the man got down on his knees too.
“I’m sorry! I take back everything I said!”
Then, the man slapped his own face loudly.
“If giving them back means I have to die beating myself, so be it!”
His eyes turned red as he kept hitting himself.
Soon, both sides of his face were bright red and puffed up.
However, he did not seem to care at all—he just kept hitting himself harder and harder.
Some people in the crowd started to feel bad for him.
“Lani, they’re the kids’ real parents after all. Don’t be so heartless.”
“Your sister would understand if you gave them back. She wouldn’t blame you.”
“You’re not even married yet. You should really think about your future.”

One by one, people began trying to convince me.
Noticing this, Brittany and Nathan quickly exchanged smug grins.
“Lani, I know it’s hard to let the kids go,” Brittany said gently, “But they’d be way better off living with their birth parents than staying with you.”
She acted like she was doing it all for me and the children, pretending to care.
Watching her fake concern made my stomach turn.
In my last life, I did not want to send the kids away either.
However, Brittany dragged in all my family members to pressure me into it.
Now, she was pulling the same stunt again—only this time, with fake parents.
Did she seriously think I’d cave again?
I looked at her coldly. “I’m not handing the kids over to total strangers.”
Nathan immediately snapped, losing all patience. “Forget it! Don’t waste time talking to her. Let’s just grab the kids and see what she does!”
With that, he shoved me aside and moved toward the children.
Brittany gave a quick nod to the man and woman, signaling them to help.
They had the numbers, so I could not fight them all off.
In no time, they took the kids and rushed out.
I watched them leave in a hurry, my lips curling into a cold smile.
Fine.
If they were that desperate to dig their own graves, I will help them out.
