I’m The Villainess Blocking The Shifter King Chapter 07

I’m The Villainess Blocking The Shifter King Chapter 07

That night, I sat on the couch catching up on work while Cole sat beside me peeling an apple.

He put the knife down and handed me the peeled apple. “Eat. More fruit is good for you.”

I gestured for him to put the apple on the table. After he did, he went into the kitchen to wash his

hands.

Just then, a news alert popped up on his phone. I glanced at it without thinking and saw the

headline.

[New Shifter King Victor Frost Delivers Acceptance Speech]

My mind went blank.

Why hadn’t Mason taken the position of Shifter King?

Cole finished washing his hands and walked toward me. “What are you looking at?”

I held

up

his shifter-issued phone and asked coldly, “Why didn’t Mason become the Shifter King?”

Cole smiled mockingly.

Another message popped up on his phone, and it sent a chill down my spine.

[Serena Frost: Your mission is complete. You can come back tomorrow.]

I asked numbly, “What mission?”

Cole suddenly bent down, tilted my chin up, and laughed with arrogant delight. “The mission was

to make Mason give up on you completely so he would be with our shifter princess, of course.”

Scene after scene rushed through my mind.

Cole’s appearance, his sudden kindness toward me for no reason, and the way I had finally fallen

into his trap and used him to make Mason give up on me had all been connected from the start.

I jerked my head up and demanded, “Who is Victor Frost?”

“Our princess’s father, of course.”

“But I really should thank you. Without your cooperation, Mason never would have gone back. He helped the princess eliminate our greatest enemy, then destroyed his own shifter powers and gave up the position of Shifter King just so he could reunite with you.”

“Now he’s nothing but a powerless, defenseless lower-tier shifter. He has no choice but to marry

into our princess’s line as her consort.”

After saying that, he jumped out the window and left.

Serena had used Mason and was now forcing him to become her consort.

It was hard to imagine how much pain Mason must be in.

And I had said so many hurtful things to him before.

Just as panic consumed me, a thought flashed through my mind. I suddenly remembered the

restorative elixir capsule he had left with me when he was critically injured.

I made up my mind. No matter what, I had to save him. Even if he no longer loved me, he still had

the right to choose his own future.

The floating comments appeared before my eyes again.

[The side character had better not go make a scene at Mason’s wedding. We just want to see the

male lead and our precious female lead live happily ever after.]

[Security at the Maplewood Grand Hotel is extremely tight, and their wedding is being held on the rooftop. An ordinary woman like the side character doesn’t even have the right to step inside.]

[Still, I’m kind of scared of the male lead getting that restorative elixir capsule. If he takes it, he’ll have the power to escape our precious female lead’s control again. I just want to watch the

dark-romance scene where the female lead forces her love on him and our precious male lead gets

tormented in bed.]

I caught the key detail.

They were holding the wedding on the rooftop of the Maplewood Grand Hotel.

The next day, I spent all my savings on an expensive wedding gown.

Then I walked openly through the hotel lobby as if I belonged there.

The lobby manager approached me with a smile. “May I ask who you are?”

I smiled. “I’m Serena Frost’s sister. I came especially for her wedding.”

The manager did not suspect a thing and thoughtfully pressed the elevator button for me.

“This way, please.”

The floating comments exploded.

[Holy shit! How is the side character this smart? She got past that hurdle so easily.]

[And our female lead specifically warned the hotel staff to keep watch and not let any outsiders disturb the wedding.]

[You damned side character. Can’t you live without our male lead? Is he the only one who can satisfy you? Disgusting.]

I pretended not to see any of it.

If it had not been for these floating comments, Mason and I never would have separated.

This time, I would be brave for myself and for him.
