You Thought You Knew My Love Chapter 10

You Thought You Knew My Love Chapter 10

An hour later, a notification rang.

In the video, the man’s tie had been loosened and pulled off. The suit jacket I had helped him put on hung over his arm.

A woman took it from him with a smile.

This time, it was a video of only a few seconds.

Then came one sentence.

“He agreed to stay with me the day before your birthday. Nora Bloom, I’m carrying his child. One

day, he’ll divorce you.”

I saved it.

Adrian never noticed that several days earlier, I had already dismissed the housekeeper who took

care of our daily life.

After that, bit by bit, I packed my personal belongings and moved them to Jenna’s place.

The things I left in plain sight were only there to fool him.

He had once asked why my things seemed to be getting fewer.

“I want new ones. You’re not too cheap to spend money on me, are you?”

I had acted spoiled.

“How could that be? Spend as much as you want, Nora. I’m afraid you won’t spend enough.”

But I knew that the moment I asked him for a divorce, that man would freeze my cards and force me

to start over with him.

I picked up my bag.

Silently, I looked around the home where I had lived with him for three years.

Then I walked out without looking back.

I would never return.

Jenna took me to the most famous gated community in New York.

High-end, private, and extremely secure. Aside from the owners, no one else could get in.

Jenna brought me into the house.

She looked worried

“Can you handle being alone?”

“I’ll stay with you, Nora.”

My pale face made her uneasy.

I refused her kindness.

“No, Jenna. Go back. I want to face this by myself.”

“This is the person I chose. This is my marriage. When I face its failure, I can’t run.”

“Otherwise, I’ll never forgive my own weakness.”

She hugged me silently, then turned and left.

I sat on the floor with my knees hugged to my chest.

I stared at the deep night outside.

Giving up Adrian was not easy.

He had been too good to me.

I remembered the time an out-of-control car came straight at us, and he held me tightly in his arms, not letting me get hurt at all.

He always calculated my period and cared for me like a mother.

He warmed the clothes I had to wear every day.

Even when he slept, he had to hold my hand tightly.
