Where the Wind is Left Behind Chapter 21

Cindy stayed by Colt’s side all the time, and Emilie was also unwilling to leave.

A week passed in the blink of an eye, and there was no sign of Colt waking up.

“Mom, why hasn’t Dad woken up yet?” Emilie cried for several days in a row, her voice hoarse and

her eyes swollen and red.

Cindy felt sorry and applied a cold towel to her eyes, “He would wake up.”

“Mom, I was scared. I didn’t want Dad to die.”

Cindy choked up, “Colt, if you don’t wake up soon, we will never forgive you!”

Colt on the bed moved his fingers and his eyes began to roll. He struggled to open his eyes and said

“Cindy, Emilie…”

“Mum, Dad woke up!”

Emilie ran over excitedly and looked at him with a surprised expression, “Dad.”

“I’m sorry, I made you worry.”

“It is us who should thank you, thank you for saving us,” Cindy said, her eyes filled with tears,

suppressing her emotions.

Colt tugged at the corner of his mouth, unable to say anything.

Cindy still refused to forgive him.

“I went to find the doctor,” Cindy turned around and left, tears falling the moment she stepped out,

luckily he was fine.

Colt’s condition stabilized and there was no longer any danger to his life.

Cindy took Emilie back to Aelbarrow and she didn’t say goodbye to him in person, she just sent him

a message.

She didn’t stop him from seeing Emilie, hoping that he would have time to spend more with Emilie.

With Colt’s love, Emilie became happier than before.

Emilie used to video call Colt every day, watching him recover.

Colt’s attitude towards Emilie improved more and more, as if he had endless patience. Even during meetings, he would keep the video on and watch Emilie study.

Colt stood up with Emilie’s encouragement and walked up to Cindy. He knelt down and said, “Cingly, I love you. I know that the past cannot be easily forgotten, but I will always strive to make you

happy.”

“You don’t have to forgive me right now, I only hope that you are willing to let me take care of you by your side. I will love you and Emilie forever.”

Cindy was touched in her heart, but she didn’t move for a while.

“Mom…” Emilie held her breath and looked at Cindy.

Cindy smiled slightly and helped Colt up, “Colt, I believe you will be a good father in the future.”

“As for a good husband, we deliberated for a long time.”

Colt nodded abruptly, wanting to embrace her but hesitating, his excited eyes glistening with tears. “You, are you willing to give me a chance?”

“See how you performed.”

“I will definitely perform well!”

Book2-Chapter 1

After pretending to have amnesia, I deliberately teased my husband and son, asking them, “Who are you?”

The husband remained silent for a moment and said to me, “My son and I came to visit my wife, but we entered the wrong ward.”

After listening, the son immediately pulled my husband and walked towards the next ward, saying/ “Goodbye, lady. My dad and I are going to see mom.”

And in the next ward, was the beloved of my husband.

After falling down from upstairs, I was taken to the hospital.

As I looked at my husband Geovanni Duncan and son Warren Duncan holding a fruit basket at the

entrance of the hospital room, I suddenly remembered Warren complaining about my words, “Mom, why are you so serious every day? It’s really boring.”

I thought about my fall again, which happened because my son mischievously scattered a handful of glass beads at the staircase entrance. So, I intentionally wore a puzzled expression and asked, “Who are you guys?”

I thought I would see panic and worry on the faces of the father and son, but the result was

completely unexpected.

Geovanni remained silent for a moment and then said to me, “My son and I came to visit my wife,

I’m sorry. We went to the wrong ward.”

I looked at Warren again. He was young, and no matter how hard he tried to restrain himself, I

could still see a trace of excitement on his face.

I was stunned.

Warren pulled Geovanni’s sleeve, motioning for him to bend down, and whispered softly in

Geovanni’s ear.

His voice was very low, but I had learned lip reading, and I could “see” Warren saying to Geovanni, “Dad, since mom has lost her memory, can’t you deceive her into signing the divorce agreement

and then marry Marilyn… I really like Marilyn and want her to be my new mom.”

My heart instantly plunged into the icy abyss, making me shiver with cold.

I didn’t expect that the child I carried for ten months and desperately gave birth to at the gate of life.
