When the Alpha Chose His Pack Over His Mate Chapter 03

“What are you thinking about?” A large hand waved in front of my face. “If you don’t want to…”

“I was just thinking, autumn is almost here, and your stomach is sensitive to the cold. If you’re not careful, it’ll start acting up again.”

“I think I forgot to tell the pack’s kitchen to prepare more warm soups for you. Make sure you keep an eye on it.”

I’d already told them, of course.

Maybe I just wanted to leave without any regrets, so I chatted casually, like it was any other day.

Rowen paused, then instinctively took a small step forward.

He was about to say something when Lennox pulled up in the SUV.

“Alpha, Luna!”

He set the keys down gently and stepped out, giving me a respectful bow.

“Luna, let me drive you to the port.”

I thought Rowen had arranged it.

I was about to say it wasn’t necessary.

But Lennox straightened his shirt, his voice slightly nervous as he turned to Rowen.

“Alpha, I heard Luna was leaving, and I couldn’t sit still. I’ve been wanting to see her off.”

“I made sure to finish all the urgent tasks early this morning. I didn’t delay anything, I swear.”

Rowen seemed caught off guard.

As if he hadn’t even thought to arrange something so simple.

He waved his hand, giving a silent nod of approval.

And so, I didn’t refuse.
