Warned My Past Self on a Livestream, Canceling My 5-Year Marriage Before It Began Chapter 01

On a humid midsummer night, I accidentally stumbled across a livestream from another timeline.

The girl on the screen was me from five years ago.

“Guys!” she squealed at the camera, her eyes sparkling. “My boyfriend just proposed to me!”

She excitedly described how romantic Caleb Harrington’s proposal had been, how passionate he’d looked when he slipped the ring onto her finger.

I simply watched in silence, a faint smile tugging at my lips.

Then my phone buzzed.

A video message from Caleb.

I tapped it open.

The screen filled with tangled sheets, heated breathing, and the unmistakable sound of moans. Caleb had another woman pinned against him while he kissed her like he couldn’t get enough.

I calmly closed the video and returned to the livestream.

Back to the younger version of myself smiling like she owned the world.

As the comments flooded with blessings like “forever love” and “couple goals,” I typed two lines into the chat.

[You and Caleb Harrington don’t end up as happily as you think.]

[Leave him now while you still can.]

The livestream exploded instantly.

[What the hell is wrong with this person? Jealous much?]

[Seriously. She’s bitter because they went from childhood sweethearts to engaged.]

Five-years-ago me sat frozen in front of the camera, barely maintaining her polite smile.

“Guys, don’t argue,” she said softly. “Just ignore it.”

But less than three minutes after the stream ended, my social media notifications lit up.

Friend request received.

From myself.

I accepted it.

The other me immediately sent a video call request.

The moment the screen connected, she looked at me warily.

“I never mentioned Caleb’s name during the stream,” she said carefully. “How did you know it? And please stop making things up. Caleb’s protected me since we were seven years old…”

Her voice suddenly cut off.

She finally got a clear look at my face.

At the exhausted woman staring back at her.

Her eyes widened.

“You… who are you? Why do you look exactly like me?”

Before I could answer, the front door behind me burst open.

The younger me was still demanding answers, but I silently flipped my camera around toward the entrance.

Caleb had come home.

And he wasn’t alone.

He stumbled through the doorway with another woman wrapped around him, kissing her like I didn’t exist. Her heels scattered across the floor as he shoved her against the wall, their mouths crashing together desperately.

On the other side of the screen, my younger self went deathly pale.

As for me?

I felt nothing.

Every time Caleb found a new woman, he filmed himself with her and sent me the videos like some kind of sick “courtesy update.”

He’d spent the last three years enjoying my humiliation.

Then the noise by the door stopped.

Caleb finally noticed me sitting in the dark living room.

Instead of looking guilty, he casually wrapped an arm around the woman beside him and walked over.

“Why do you look so miserable?” he asked lazily. “Didn’t I already send you the video?”

I looked at the woman standing next to him.

This time, the woman Caleb had brought home was my best friend.

Lexi Cassidy smiled smugly as she leaned into him. “Vivian, you’ve always been so understanding.”

Then she hooked a finger into Caleb’s belt loop and pulled him toward the bedroom.

A second later, the bedroom door slammed shut.

Soon, soft moans and muffled laughter seeped through the walls.

I looked back at the screen.

The younger version of me was already crying, her eyes swollen red.

Calmly, I said:

“I’m you five years from now.”

“And this is your future.”
