1 immediately pulled Adrian’s collar back into place. He opened his eyes and looked at me in confusion. I gave two awkward laughs.

“I’m really better now. I don’t need to bite you anymore. You should go home.”

The light above us fell across Adrian’s face. All the color drained from it in an instant. He looked

frighteningly pale.

“You still… don’t need me?”

I sent Adrian home. The system was very pleased. My mood only got worse. Monday finally came.

But the entire morning passed without me seeing so much as a glimpse of the transfer student. The system wouldn’t stop talking inside my head. One minute, it was describing how beautiful the

female lead was.

The next, it was telling me all about what would happen between her and Adrian later.

I had no idea why he was dragging Adrian into this. I was about to ask when I looked down at Ryan’s

arm.

“Ryan, why is your arm so hairy…?”

I bent down curiously for a closer look. Ryan rolled his eyes.

“Are you biting me or not? What werewolf guy isn’t at least a little hairy?”

Adrian barely had any. He was always meticulously groomed. His skin was cool and pale, and his scent was always especially good…

I was still lost in thought when I looked up. Adrian was standing in the doorway. His face was

completely pale.

Ryan followed my gaze. The second he saw Adrian, he quickly yanked his arm back. The entire day. passed, and the female lead never appeared.

But when I turned around, I realized Adrian had been watching me the whole time. Still in a good

mood, I slowed down until I was walking beside him.

“Adrian, you’ve seemed really upset these past few days.”

He didn’t answer. His dark eyes looked almost unfocused as they stayed on me. The Alpha pressure

rolling off him was frighteningly heavy.

“You seem to be in a good mood.”
