At Todd’s words, the entire courtroom fell silent.

He inserted a USB drive into the court’s playback system and opened a folder labeled “Evidence.” Inside were several video files.

He clicked on one.

In an instant, the large screen displayed the living room of my home.

Victoria sat on the sofa in loose loungewear, her body rising and falling gently with her breath. From the camera angle, the faint flush on her cheeks was clearly visible.

At first, the scene was calm.

But after a few minutes, her movements began to change-her shoulders trembling slightly, her hands unconsciously gripping the armrests of the sofa.

A heavy silence settled over the courtroom as people exchanged uneasy glances.

“What is this…?”

The judge frowned.

Whispers spread among the spectators, confusion written all over their faces.

On screen, Victoria’s cheeks were flushed, a fine sheen of sweat forming along her temples-she was

clearly in an unspoken state.

Seated beside the plaintiff’s table, Victoria’s parents flushed deeply with embarrassment, turning their

heads away as their fingers clenched tightly at their clothes.

Victoria suddenly sprang to her feet, her voice shaking. “You…. you actually installed surveillance

cameras at home?”

The courtroom erupted in murmurs.

“My god… what is she doing? In front of the child-no, wait, she was still pregnant!”

“She was pregnant and still doing this? Wasn’t she afraid of hurting the baby?”

At that moment, Justin abruptly stood up.

“Victoria, at a time like this, are you still going to cover for him?”

His face was filled with anguish, his expression pained.

Victoria looked at him blankly, at a loss, as if she didn’t understand what he meant.

He turned to the jury, his voice rising sharply. “Don’t be fooled by him! This video is not what you think!”

Before Victoria could recover from her shock, Justin clenched his fists and revealed what he claimed

was the truth.

“When Victoria was five months pregnant, Matt forced her into it every single day! He didn’t care about her condition at all-every time, he acted like a madman, only concerned with his own pleasure. She was left bleeding more than once, and the doctor said if it continued, the baby wouldn’t survive!

“She moved to the sofa to avoid him. She locked the bedroom door because she was afraid he would barge out to the living room at night!”

His voice broke as he pointed at the screen.

“What she’s doing on the sofa… that’s because her hormones were out of balance during pregnancy. But she didn’t dare let Matt touch her anymore, so she could only deal with it like this, in secret! She was trying to protect the child!”

The courtroom erupted once more.

My parents stared at me in shock. Victoria’s parents, on the other hand, looked as if everything had

suddenly made sense.

Victoria sat frozen at the plaintiff’s table, tears silently streaming down her face.

To everyone else, that reaction only confirmed Justin’s claims.

“That sofa…” Justin choked slightly, “was something Victoria used to… handle her needs. Because of

Matt’s rough behavior, she was left with psychological trauma. She had no choice but to resort to this.”

The moment he finished speaking, the room descended into chaos.

“This is beyond inhuman! His wife was pregnant, and he still treated her like that. Wasn’t he afraid of harming the baby?”

“No wonder she hid on the sofa and locked the door. If it were me, I would’ve run long ago!”

“What a piece of trash-asking for divorce right after his wife gives birth, and now bringing out a video

like this to smear her. Does he even have a conscience?”

I slowly rose to my feet and looked around the courtroom.

Every gaze was filled with condemnation, as if they were staring at a criminal beyond redemption.

The judge struck the gavel to restore order and looked at me sternly.

“Defendant, what do you have to say in response to these allegations?”
