The Queen Boss’s Revenge Chapter 09

The Queen Boss’s Revenge Chapter 09

“Desecrate? You don’t have the standing for that.” I let out a sharp scoff.

“From this day forward, the phrase ‘I suffered with you’ that you love to throw around is completely bought out by me, Sofia Ricci.”

“Never try to use that repulsive self-delusion to guilt-trip me again.”

“I have paid for your hardships in full. The transaction is closed.”

“If you ever dare bring up our past to harass me again, my legal team will file extortion charges against you.”

“Get out of my sight.”

“No… no! I don’t want the money! I only want you!” Luca shattered completely.

He desperately tried to shove the ten-million-dollar check back through the window gap, but the glass rolled up smoothly, locking him out.

The core pillar of his mental survival was ground into absolute dust by pure wealth.

He finally realized that in my eyes, he was no longer the lover who had shared his life with me.

He didn’t even possess the right to make me feel a shred of guilt.

He was reduced to nothing but a beggar, trying to trade a few dollars of cheap memories for a multi-million dollar handout.

The traffic light shifted to green.

The car accelerated forward, sending a massive spray of muddy street water right over Luca’s head.

He knelt in the middle of the wet asphalt, tightly clutching the tin can and the check.

With his pride completely shattered after being explicitly priced out, Luca fell into absolute madness.

Now that standard harassment was ineffective, his twisted, fragile ego demanded an extreme manifestation to prove his devotion.

He wanted to prove to the world that he, Luca, would throw his life away for Sofia.

Half a month later.

I attended a high-stakes corporate bidding summit on behalf of the syndicate.

The outcome of the auction resulted in our primary competitor being forced into immediate liquidation and bankruptcy.

At ten in the evening, the summit concluded. Marcello walked beside me as we moved toward the exclusive VIP parking deck beneath the skyscraper.

The garage was completely barren and dead silent, the sound of my heels echoing off the concrete walls.

Just as we approached the vehicle doors, a figure burst out from behind a massive concrete support column!

It was the CEO of the rival firm that had just been ruined.

“Sofia! You destroyed my livelihood! I’m taking you down with me tonight!”

He clutched a long hunting knife, lunging toward my chest with terrifying speed.

The attack was too sudden and the distance too short; my personal security team couldn’t even draw their weapons in time.

Yet, right before the blade could bridge the final three meters to my body—

“Sofia, watch out! I’ll save you!”

Luca materialized from the shadows, flinging his arms wide open.

He was attempting to position his own chest directly in front of the lethal weapon!

He truly believed that if the knife pierced his flesh, if he bled out completely for my sake, I would melt.

That I would weep hysterically and throw myself into his arms, forgiving everything.

He wanted to use a life-ending gamble to extort a lifetime of remorse from me.

Unfortunately, reality dealt him another brutal blow.

Standing right beside me, Marcello’s expression went instantly dark.

He didn’t even blink.

Wasting no time, Marcello wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me firmly and securely into his chest.

Simultaneously, his leg snapped out in a brutal front kick, striking the assailant square in the sternum!

With a sickening thud, the attacker was sent flying back five or six meters, slamming hard against the concrete wall before collapsing unconscious.

The entire sequence took less than two seconds—flawless, efficient, and lethal.

There was not a single wasted motion.

Even the hem of my coat remained pristine.

Luca, because he had thrown himself forward with such reckless momentum, completely missed his target.

He lost his footing entirely, crashing face-first into the discarded hunting knife and the shattered glass scattered across the floor.
