The Queen Boss’s Revenge Chapter 06

The Queen Boss’s Revenge Chapter 06

The blood in Luca’s veins turned to ice instantly.

For the past three years, every single cent he spent had come directly from Sofia.

He had genuinely believed Sofia was merely throwing a tantrum, just like the countless times before, and that once she calmed down, she would crawl back to beg for his forgiveness.

Luca pushed Veronica away roughly, sprinting out of the boutique like a madman and driving frantically to the corporate headquarters.

However, the security guards blocked him at the entrance with immovable expressions.

“Mr. Luca, by order of the Boss, you have been stripped of all executive titles and duties. You have no authorization to enter.”

“Bullshit! I am a co-founder of this firm!” Luca roared, his eyes bloodshot.

The guard coldly handed him a document. “This is the unanimous resolution from the Board of Directors terminating your position.”

Luca fell into pure panic.

He fled back to the wrecked estate, finding the safe door left slightly ajar.

There was no cash inside. Instead, there was a single share transfer agreement lying quietly on the shelf.

The execution date on it was originally set for the anniversary of his

proposal.

It was a gift I had prepared long ago—an unconditional transfer agreement granting him fifty percent of my entire equity holdings.

But now, the bottom right corner of the contract had been aggressively crossed out with a thick red marker.

Beside it lay a brief note:

[Luca, since you love suffering with people so much, you won’t be touching a single dime of this massive fortune for the rest of your life. Enjoy eternity in the garbage dump with your precious childhood friend.]

His hands shook violently as he pulled out his phone and frantically dialed my number.

[The number you have dialed is no longer in service…]

Luca clutched the crossed-out agreement tightly, collapsing onto the ruined remains of the house. The million-dollar leather sofa was shredded around him, and his rare sneakers floated in muddy water.

“Luca? Why are you just sitting there in the dark?”

The sharp click of stiletto heels cut through the dead silence.

Veronica walked in, pinching her nose in disgust as she stepped over the sea of shattered glass.

She looked down at the catatonic Luca, her voice laced with intense impatience.

“What did the bank say? When are they unfreezing the card?”

“The pink diamond ring I picked out is still waiting for the payment to clear!”

Luca raised his bloodshot eyes, looking at her as if she were his absolute last lifeline.

He reached out and grabbed her hand, his voice trembling.

“Veronica… I’ve been cast out by the family.”

“Sofia stripped me of my titles, and even this fifty percent equity stake is gone…”

“I have absolutely nothing left. But that’s fine, we still have each other, right?”

The smile on Veronica’s face vanished instantly. She yanked her hand back violently, as if she had been struck by an electric shock.

“Nothing left? What do you mean by that? Aren’t you the co-founder?!”

“The board resolution has been passed. I can’t even step past the front gates of the building,” Luca rasped, his voice entirely hoarse.

“Veronica, please stay by my side. Let’s rebuild from scratch, okay?”

“When things were impossible, Sofia stayed and suffered with me. I know you will too—”

“Are you completely insane?!” Veronica screeched, cutting him off brutally.

“Luca, look at yourself! What the hell did you think I wanted from you?”

“Did you think I liked your age? Or that cheap soup you make? I wanted you because you were a multi-millionaire CEO!”

Luca looked at her, utterly devastated. He could not believe the words coming from the mouth of his supposedly fragile friend.

“What are you saying… You told me before that as long as we were together, nothing else mattered…”

“That was assuming you could afford to buy me custom luxury crowns!”

Veronica let out a sharp, mocking laugh, taking two steps back to ensure the mud on his clothes wouldn’t soil her.

“Only a complete idiot like Sofia would drink herself into a bleeding stomach ulcer and spend half a month in the hospital just to secure investments for you!”

“Only a fool would sell her own grandmother’s heirloom and survive on three hours of sleep just to fix your pathetic mistakes!”

“Did you genuinely think your little ‘I suffered with you’ card worked on everyone?”

“Wake up, Luca. Look at you right now. You make me sick.”

With that, Veronica turned around without an ounce of hesitation.

“Veronica!”

In complete despair, Luca threw himself forward to grab her, but Veronica kicked him away ruthlessly.

“Get away from me! Don’t ruin my chances of finding my next meal ticket!”
