The Night He Chose Her, I Chose My Revenge Chapter 13

The Night He Chose Her, I Chose My Revenge Chapter 13

“Are Mom and Dad okay?” I asked carefully.

Liam looked at me and sighed.

“No. They’ve been worried sick about you, just like me.”

He deliberately put on a stern face and tapped the tip of my nose.

“By the way, I taught Julian a little lesson for you. Want to see?”

I blinked, and he handed me an encrypted tablet.

The screen lit up.

The image was shaky, but the place was painfully familiar: the Croft Manor study, surrounded by portraits of long-dead ancestors.

Julian was pinned to the floor by two massive bodyguards, his face a mask of fear and confusion.

“Liam Vance, how dare you break into my home?”

Liam stepped into the frame. He planted his foot on the hand Julian was using to push himself up, and a faint cracking sound echoed in the room.

“My sister is a genius designer,” Liam said, his voice like ice. “And you turned her into a madwoman who wasn’t even allowed at her own family’s dinner party?”

Penelope screamed from a corner, but another bodyguard quickly silenced her.

Liam’s gaze swept over her, and his rage seemed to intensify.

He turned back to Julian.

“Elara’s room. Elara’s clothes. You let some social-climbing tramp touch my sister’s things? What do you think the Vance family is?”

“She was the one who didn’t know how to behave… she needed to be taught…” Julian spat, a trickle of blood at the corner of his mouth.

“Taught?”

Liam’s roar seemed to shake the room.

“When my people found her, you had her locked in a deathtrap in the middle of a hurricane. The water was up to her neck. She was freezing. Julian Croft, is that what you call teaching?”
