What played on the screen was not what my parents had

prepared.

Instead, it was the footage from the day I discovered the milk

had been tampered with–the scene of me arguing with my

family in the living room.

The video had been edited.

The internal recordings I had produced as evidence were

gone.

All that remained was the part where I, visibly upset,

questioned the head of the Family and the heir.

To anyone who didn’t know the truth, I looked like a disobedient child shouting at the Family’s authority.

Sure enough, murmurs immediately spread through the

room.

But not in the way Bianca had expected. People didn’t direct

all their suspicion at me.

More of them began to question my parents.

“They’re hosting a recognition banquet for her, yet they’re

publicly showing footage of her arguing with the head of the Family?”

“This doesn’t look like a celebration. It looks more like the

Others saw the banner at the entrance and drew another

conclusion.

“They’re using one daughter to crush the other, aren’t they?”

“One name is hanging at the door, and the other is on screen. being called disloyal.”

“If the Morettis can erase their own blood whenever they

want, who’s going to trust the protection promises they sign?”

Several regional bosses visibly darkened.

They hadn’t come to watch a family quarrel. They had come because the head of the Family had invited them, in his own

name, to witness my achievements and status.

Now the banner, the video, and the empty seat of honor were all telling them that within the Moretti Family, there wasn’t

even a consensus on who was protected.

Every word reached my parents‘ ears.
