The Loser Ex-Wife Came Back Hot Chapter 45

Hearing that Nova wasn’t coming, Caleb’s temper instantly flared into a raging inferno.

They had been waiting at home for hours, reheating the food three separate times! She had dragged it out way past their agreed time, only to send a lackey to tell them she wasn’t showing up.

She was intentionally playing them for fools!

Caleb shot up from the couch and stormed right out the front door. Panic laced Mrs. Langdon’s voice as she screamed after him, “Caleb! What do you think you’re doing? Get back here right now!”

Ignoring his mother entirely, Caleb threw himself into his car, slammed his foot on the gas pedal, and sped straight toward the Donald Estate.

At that exact moment, Nova and Alaric were enjoying a quiet lunch at home. Suddenly, Caleb’s furious screams echoed from beyond the front gates. “Nova! Open the damn door!” Both of Nova’s parents were at work, leaving only her and Alaric in the house.

Nova strolled over to the window, glancing at Caleb fuming wildly outside the estate gates. A slow, amused smirk tugged at the corner of her lips.

She remembered perfectly well how in her past life, when the Langdons were in power, they had ruthlessly targeted her family’s business, causing their profits to plummet overnight. Her parents had begged for a meeting with Caleb, only to be mercilessly locked out and

humiliated.

Now, Caleb was finally getting a taste of the exact same degradation her parents had

endured.

“Nova, I know you’re in there! Open the door right now!”

Caleb was absolutely livid.

Back in the living room, Alaric simply walked over to the landline and pressed the speed-dial for the estate’s security team.

“There’s someone causing a disturbance at the gate. Please remove him.”

Alaric’s voice was perfectly calm. He hung up the phone, casually placed a choice piece of meat onto Nova’s plate, and said softly, “Sit down and eat.”

Nova kept her eyes on the window. Outside, two of the estate’s security guards had already pinned Caleb’s arms behind his back. Despite his violent thrashing, they forcefully shoved him to the pavement, entirely shattering his pride.

One of the guards snapped impatiently, “Move it! Get the hell out of here! Don’t come looking

for trouble!”

“I’m looking for Nova! Tell her to get her ass out here and see me!”

“Still not leaving? Keep it up and we’re calling the cops!”

The guard’s tone was incredibly vicious. Caleb had never been treated with such utter disrespect in his life. His face contorted in sheer outrage. “I am the heir of the Langdon family! Who the hell gave you the right to treat me like this?!”

Caleb’s name carried significant weight in Lindenwood. Usually, even seasoned business owners would bow their heads and flatter him for his youth and potential. He had certainly never been manhandled by lowly security guards.

The guard scoffed mockingly. “The Langdon family? You guys aren’t even fit to shine our boss’s shoes! Besides, your entire company is about to go bankrupt-didn’t you know? ‘Heir’? Please. In a few days, you’ll be begging on the streets!”

The truth about the Langdons’ financial ruin had already spread like wildfire through the city’s elite circles. Even the security guards working in this exclusive neighborhood knew all about

Caleb’s expression turned terrifyingly dark. “What kind of bullshit are you talking about?!”

Yes, things had been slightly difficult for their company lately, but there was no way they were facing total bankruptcy!

“Looks like you really have no clue. Your family owes mountains of debt everywhere. If Mr. Donald hadn’t been propping up your collaboration projects, you would’ve gone under ages ago!”

“Your family bit the hand that fed you, and now you actually have the nerve to show up here and harass our young lady? Throwing you out is already doing you a favor!”

The guards’ words stomped Caleb’s arrogance directly into the dirt.

He suddenly recalled his mother screaming at him earlier, warning him that their family was at the end of their rope. He had assumed she was just exaggerating the situation to force him into marrying Nova. He never imagined it was actually the brutal truth.

“I suggest you save your breath. Instead of harassing our young lady, you better figure out how you’re going to keep playing the rich heir when your family goes under!”
