I unbuckled my seat belt.

Grabbing Damon’s collar, I yanked him toward me and kissed him first. Hard.

I kissed him for a long, long time.

But after days of holding back, my technique was a little rusty.

When we finally broke apart, I realized I’d bitten his lip clean through.

Damon brushed a thumb across his mouth. He looked at the smear of red on his fingertip. His eyes

darkened.

I cleared my throat.

“Let’s go home.”

He looked up at me, his eyes brimming with emotion.

“Okay. Let’s go home.”

The drive back was smooth, and way faster than it probably should’ve been.

The moment we got inside, Damon pressed me against the front door and kissed me again.

“W-wait… D-Damon… mmph-‘

He finally pulled back, his voice wrecked.

“You said you wanted to go home.”

“Wasn’t this what you meant?”

Before I could answer, his lips found mine again.

Who said anything about ten times?

Seriously. Who?!

In the middle of the night, I caught a glimpse of my swollen lips in the mirror-and kicked Damon right out of

bed.

Grabbing my pillow and blanket, I marched into the guest room.

I’d barely settled in when the door opened.

Damon walked in without a word and lay down beside me.

“Go sleep in our room.”

“No.”

“I already told you. We’re not breaking up.”

“Then why aren’t we sleeping together?”

“Even couples need a little personal space.”

He nodded like that made perfect sense.

“Your personal space is my personal space.”
