The Frame-Up He Believed Chapter 05

“No way.”

Elena had damaged her uterus saving him back then. That much he knew for sure.

Dominic grabbed the family doctor’s collar, his knuckles white.

“You’re lying. Did Elena pay you off?”

“When did this happen?!”

The main reason he’d taken Irina on in the first place was for a kid. His mother Gianna had drilled it

into his head-if he didn’t produce an heir soon, his father’s bastards would walk all over him.

But Elena couldn’t have children.

It was just one kid. One simple thing. He just had to keep it hidden.

But he never expected Elena to react that hard.

Honestly, it pissed him off. He’d taken so much humiliation from the family over the years. One kid would’ve solved everything. Why couldn’t she understand?

She called it betrayal.

But she was still the one he loved.

Irina was just easy. Sweet talk, soft smiles. She gave him what he needed. Since she was carrying his

kid, he didn’t mind playing along.

But slowly, Elena’s eyes got colder.

She even slit her wrists.

That scared him. He pretended to promise her-no more kids on the side.

He just wanted a child. That’s all Irina was to him. A tool.

He didn’t understand how they’d ended up here. Two people who’d once loved each other that

much.

Was it all because of a kid?

If Elena could’ve had one… then everything he’d done-

He would’ve wanted a child with her. Of course he would.

Dominic’s mind was a mess. He ordered his men to dig up when it started.

The moment he got his hands on the medical file, his fingers started shaking.

He saw the date on the pregnancy test. Last August.

Why had Elena never told him?

He froze. Then he pulled out his phone like a madman, scrolling frantically.

Last August. Elena had called him thirteen times.

Dominic stood there, his heart frozen solid. He stared at the call log, his voice trembling.

“Get the tech guys in here. Recover everything on my phone.”

The room was dim. He looked like a ghost crawling out of a grave, radiating pure menace.

He remembered that night last August. Irina had clung to him, throwing a fit, refusing to let him answer Elena’s calls.

The technician rushed in, out of breath, barely able to speak.

Dominic grabbed him, shoving the phone into his hands.

“Recover every message. Every app. All of it. Especially last August.”

Half an hour later, Dominic stared at the screen-record after record Irina had quietly deleted. Elena’s texts. Photos of hospital reports. Voice messages asking if he could come home tonight.

His face went dark-murderous.
