I woke up the next afternoon.

Damon was kneeling beside my bed again, just like last time.

“Sorry, Miss. I was too rough with you yesterday. I’m a bad dog…”

I bit my lower lip, my cheeks flushed as I looked at him.

“You really are a bad dog. But… maybe we should try again?”

Damon looked up, surprised.

Then he quickly slipped under the covers with me.

I didn’t leave the room for three days.

When I finally emerged, I felt like a new person-energized, glowing, and comfortable all over.

It was a rare sunny day, so I headed to the back hill to check on the sweet potatoes Damon had

planted.

When I arrived, I found Fiona digging in the soil.

“Miss Fiona, you’re way too hardworking,” I couldn’t help but admire.

Then I noticed her arms-she’d filled out a lot.

When we’d first brought her back, she was skin and bones.

Now she looked like a fitness instructor, bursting with energy, like she had endless stamina.

“Miss, you’re up!”

“I just can’t sit still. If I don’t stay busy, I feel off all day.”

I nodded.

What she said made sense.

These past few days, if I didn’t do certain things with my bad dog, I felt off too.

But the back hill seemed bigger than before.

As I looked around, Fiona paused her work, wiped her sweat, and pointed toward the primeval

forest.

“Miss,

I’m planning to gradually expand into that forest. The wood will be good for building houses

and for firewood.”

“I’ve noticed several pregnant women in the base. With more people coming, we’ll definitely need

more rooms.”

I nodded.

“You’re right.”

Truth was, I was just a decoration.

Without Damon as my backbone, I was nothing.

But because Damon listened to me and called me “Miss,” everyone in the base followed my lead.

Still, I had zero brains for planning.

Just as I was thinking that, the long-gone comments popped up again.

“I’m sorry, everyone. Looks like I accidentally took over the female lead’s plot again.”

I’d already been craving Damon when he had no powers.

Now that he had lightning powers? It was indescribable.

Totally addictive. No way I could quit.

Chatting with the comments, I walked back toward my room.

At the door, I ran into Dylan.

He was fuming, clearly here to confront me.

“Vivian!”

“You’re way out of line! Just because my brother respects you doesn’t mean you can walk all over

him!”

“Let me tell you something, Vivian-my brother has paid back everything your family ever did for

him!”

“If you ever treat him like a dog again, I swear-
