The CEO Hid His Mistress Inside A Million Dollar Painting Chapter 10

Hyatt’s voice came from inside the painting, shaking violently with disbelief.

“I’m talking to you, of course!” I swirled the wine glass and smiled softly, pointing at the floating comments

only I could see. “Wondering how I found out?”

“Hyatt, did you think binding some crappy system and trading for Painting Entry could hide everything?”

“Let me tell you something-I’ve been able to see comments the whole time. Every single one of them.”

“Which painting you’re in, what positions you take, all your disgusting words-everything’s live-streamed

here.”

At that, Hyatt froze, and the comments exploded too.

[Oh my god! Perla can actually see us?]

[No way-all my dirty jokes, she saw them all?]

[This is terrifying! She’s been playing dumb this whole time! Hyatt’s done for!]

After hearing that, Hyatt’s legs gave out. He collapsed straight onto his knees in the snow.

Freezing and terrified, he lost it, slamming the canvas and begging through tears. “Perla! I’m sorry! I was stupid! Work stress got to me, I just wanted a thrill! I love only you!”

“She came on to me, I never loved her!”

“Perla, think of our past, think of how I treated you… please get me out! I’m freezing!”

I watched him coldly, groveling like a dog.

“Get out? You know why you can’t?” I stood, walked to the painting, and looked down at him. “It’s because your system runs on your career luck. And as of two hours ago, the Thorne Group is completely bankrupt.”

Inside the painting, Hyatt’s eyes went wide. His mouth hung open like a dying fish gasping for air. “No… impossible! The company was fine yesterday, I just signed a huge deal…”

“A huge deal?” I scoffed. “What you signed this morning was a gift of all company assets and transferring all debt to you personally.”

“I also sent evidence of tax evasion and dual contracts to the IRS.”

“Right now, your company is not only insolvent-it’s surrounded by creditors pounding on the door.”

“You’re a complete penniless failure. And on top of that, a soon-to-be convicted fraudster. I cut off your career luck myself.”

“Perla! Have you lost your mind?” Hyatt roared inside the painting, face purple with cold, veins popping.

“That’s my company! My life’s work!”

“We’re husband and wife-we sink or swim together. What possible good does destroying the company do for you?!”

“Your life’s work?” I slammed the glass on the table. “Hyatt, you’ve been playing CEO for so long you’ve actually started believing you’re someone important, haven’t you?”

“My dad funded you, my family brought your first clients, I paid office rent, and even bought your first decent

suit. You’re nothing but a dog my family took in.”

“Husband and wife?” I pulled out a sealed document and pressed it to the canvas. “Take a good look. What

you signed this morning wasn’t just the company transfer papers. There was also a divorce agreement-you

walking away with absolutely nothing.”

“We’re nothing to each other now.”

Hyatt froze for a few seconds. Then he started slamming against the door like a madman. “Perla! You

vicious bitch! Let me out! You can’t do this to me!”

I didn’t move.

Vicky, who’d been hiding, lunged forward. “Mr. Thorne, what do we do? You have to think of something! I don’t

want to die here!”

Furious, Hyatt slapped her hard, sending her flying into the snow.

“This is all your fault, you whore! If you hadn’t been throwing yourself at me every single day, dragging me into paintings for your cheap thrills, I would never have ended up like this!”

“And you have the nerve to ask me what we do? You’ve ruined me!”

Vicky held her swollen face, snapping back. “Hyatt, are you even a man? You were the one who touched my

thigh first! You’re the one who forced me to do those things in the office!”

“You’re the one who traded for this crappy ability and dragged me in here!”

“Now that you’re in trouble, you’re trying to pin it all on me?”

I’d heard enough. I stood to leave. “Fight all you want. You’ve got plenty of time.”

Behind me, the sounds of snarling and yelling echoed from inside the painting.

I closed the mansion door behind me with a satisfied smile.

I left them trapped for two full days.

When I returned, they were barely holding on.
