The CEO And His Ambitious Model Chapter 11

The CEO And His Ambitious Model Chapter 11 Theo’s Bonus Chapter

Theo’s POV

When I was twenty-four, I followed the trend and signed a few new talents to the company.

One of them was a girl, six years younger than me.

I was only responsible for the funding. I left everything else to my agents.

Only during the boring fashion weeks every year would I listen to my agents report on the newcomers’ progress.

The boy named Will was easy to manage. He aced every audition on the first try, landed small role after small role.

The other one was a bit of a disappointment.

The further I flipped through her file, the darker my expression got.

“She freezes up in front of the camera? Didn’t you hire an acting coach for her?”

My agent was helpless. “We did, but that girl just can’t act to save her life.”

I refused to believe it. I rummaged through the family mansion and found some classic films I’d collected years ago.

“Give these to her.”

“I refuse to believe that after watching these, someone still can’t learn to control their expression!”

But the next year at fashion week, Mia still froze up in front of the camera.

That’s when I finally believed it.

When I was thirty, I finally met the infamous Mia, the girl who froze up in front of every camera.

She was exactly how I’d imagined her.

Sharp, shrewd, with that kind of untainted ambition in her eyes—the kind poverty doesn’t manage to snuff out.

I asked her what she wanted to do in the future.

Mia answered, completely serious, “I want to marry an Old Money man like you.”

I couldn’t help but laugh.

Marrying a rich man might have a one percent chance.

But marrying into a family like mine? The chance was zero, wasn’t it?

The following year, the company was swamped with work. I was flying back and forth to Europe constantly.

I rarely heard news about those two newcomers again.

Will winning awards on set was commonplace.

Mia, besides her runway work, was busy making a name for herself in high society. I heard she’d gotten to know over a dozen socialites in just six months.

My hand, holding a cigarette, paused.

Somehow, that ambitious face from the day she signed her contract floated into my mind.

Later, I canceled all unnecessary social engagements.

I started overseeing Mia’s schedule personally.

I told myself I was just making sure the company’s investment didn’t go down the drain.

Until that day backstage, when I saw Mia in ten-inch heels, carrying a tray of champagne as she moved among the guests, her back straight as a rod.

Like a proud white swan.

That’s when I realized.

I’d probably fallen for her a long time ago.
