The Alpha’s Wrong Luna Chapter 06

The Alpha’s Wrong Luna Chapter 06

“Not yet. But soon.” Darien took my hand, calm but with an edge of challenge.

“Lucien and I have known each other since we were kids. A blood contract is just the natural next step.”

“When the day comes, if you’re free—you should come.”

Logan’s hands curled into fists in his sleeves.

“No,” he said, his eyelids red at the edges—like he was angry, or hurt. “Lucien and I… we were never really close anyway.”

By the time the Snowmelt Festival came around, I was mostly recovered.

Winter was almost over, and the packs were starting their yearly exchanges.

Those days, wolves from different clans were always coming and going. Busy times.

But Logan started showing up at my house more and more often.

At first, he used bringing medicine as an excuse, showing up with all kinds of fancy supplements—for both me and Seline.

Then he stopped even pretending. Gifts flowed into our house like a river.

Diamonds and gold one day. The finest silks and the best lamb the next.

Seline finally got suspicious. She stared at a peach blossom tucked behind my ear and narrowed her eyes.

“I think this is all for you. The clothes, the jewelry—it’s all exactly your style.”

Thinking back on Logan’s recent behavior, she put two and two together and had a revelation.

Then she spat with disgust: “No wonder he can’t take his eyes off you every time he comes over. I can’t believe I trusted him! What a shameless creep. Doesn’t he know you’re about to make a blood contract with Darien?”

I just shook my head and said nothing.

I sent everything back.

One afternoon, I went out to pick some berries.

In a quiet patch of woods, Logan appeared out of nowhere, grabbed my wrist, and pulled me deeper into the forest.

The dim tree shadows fell over me.

His voice came out hoarse and shaking on the wind.

“Lucien, how could you—how could you actually agree to a contract with Darien? I thought you were messing with me!”

“You should have been—”

“Should have been what?” I yanked my hand free and took two steps back.

“Should have made a contract with you? Logan, what the hell do you want? In the past life, you were just like this. You make me sick.”

Logan’s head shot up, his pupils shrinking.

“You remember too!”

His breathing went ragged. He looked down at his hands, his chest heaving.

“Lucien, I misjudged you in the past life. I did wrong. But you poisoned me in the end. You killed me. So we’re even now, right?”

“All this time, I’ve seen it clearly. I was arrogant. I blamed you for everything. But now I realize—it’s not disgust I feel for you. It’s you I like.”

“The first time I saw you at the academy—in that fiery red dress, like a fresh rose—I was drawn to you right then. But I thought the Moon’s guidance meant Seline… Just give me one more chance, okay? Say no to him. Let’s start over…”

“No.”

My face was cold. “You’ve always been like this—just talking to hear your own voice.”

“In the past life, you went on and on about loving Seline. Now you’re putting on this ‘deep feeling’ act for me. Don’t you see how ridiculous that is?”

“I’ve already said yes to the person I really love. He’s young and accomplished—a better Alpha than you. He treats me right. I couldn’t be happier. Why the hell would I start over with you? For the

humiliation? For the suffering?”

“If you hadn’t forced it, I wouldn’t have given you a second glance in the past life.”

Logan’s face went completely white.

His lips trembled. He opened his mouth, but only a pained whimper came out.

He tried to reach for me, but I snapped off a thorny branch and slashed his arm.

Blood dripped from his fingers, spattering the ground in patches of red.

He froze, an endless ache in his eyes.

“Do you really hate me that much?”

Footsteps in the woods.
