The Alpha King’s Real Daughter’s Return Chapter 03

The Alpha King’s Real Daughter’s Return Chapter 03 Stripped of Dignity

I used to cherish Damian with all my heart, but to him, I was nothing more than a pathetic simp he could let his friends humiliate at will.

Whether in my past life or this one, his only instinct was to shield Ayla. Looking at him now, the last shred of my affection died.

“I understand,” my father’s deep voice resonated over the line. “Everything will be done your way.”

“I have an urgent matter to attend to, so I’m recalling Soren for now. But I’ll leave the royal guards to protect you while you recover in the hospital.”

“And don’t you dare try to hide your injuries from me. I will find out who did this. Whoever harms a single finger of yours, I’ll chop off ten of theirs!”

He hung up, leaving me no time to respond.

I had wanted to ask about Ayla, but that would have to wait.

Turning back toward the ward to check on Ethan, a sudden flurry of hurried footsteps echoed down the corridor.

I looked up right into Damian’s furious face.

Before I could speak, his hand flew out, delivering a stinging slap that whipped my face to the side.

“Alicia, have you lost your goddamn mind?!” he roared in rage. “You actually hired thugs to torment Ayla? She is the Alpha King’s daughter! Do you have any idea how protective the King is? You’ve just signed your own death warrant!”

I spat out a mocking laugh. “She’s the King’s daughter? Then why is her last name Vick?”

The royal house’s surname was Victoria!

“What do you know?” Damian sneered. “It took the King and Queen years of trying before they conceived her. She is the royal family’s most treasured secret. What’s so strange about keeping her identity hidden for her own safety?”

“I saved her life, which is the only reason she trusted me with the truth. How could a filthy rogue like you possibly understand?”

For years, I had concealed my true identity, living as a rogue just to integrate into the Silver Moon Pack and help them recruit more wolves. I never imagined that to Damian, I would never be anything more than a low-life rogue.

Right then, Ayla emerged from the corridor. She was supposed to be locked in the warehouse, beaten black and blue by Soren, yet here she was, walking behind the Captain of the Royal Guards.

Damian smirked at me, gloating over my imminent downfall.

As I wondered how she got out, the Guard Captain marched straight toward me.

I expected him to step in front of me as a shield, but instead, he unclipped the baton from his waist and slammed it against my head.

“Who the hell do you think you are, putting your hands on Princess Ayla? You must be tired of living! Let me teach you some respect on her Highness’s behalf!”

Warm blood poured down my forehead, staining my vision crimson as my head buzzed on the verge of fainting.

But when I looked into the captain’s eyes, they were cold and feral, his pupils slitted in a projective glane over his royal master.

I was stunned.

“Are you insane?! Don’t you recognize me? I am the King’s true daughter!”

The captain spat on the floor, his expression hardening.

“You’ve clearly lost your mind. I’ve served the King in the royal palace for nearly a decade, and the only princess I know is Princess Ayla. What kind of trash are you to try and steal her title?”

Ayla stepped out from behind his back, her gaze freezing over as she looked down at me.

She turned to Damian.

“Damian, how should we handle this? All I wanted tonight was a quiet drink with my friends, but your girlfriend had to accuse me of being an impostor in front of everyone.”

“My father always told me to stay humble outside the palace, so I swallowed my pride. I even had my people escort her away in a luxury car.”

“But now she’s slandering me, claiming I ran her over! She’s dragging the royal family’s honor through the mud. You know what happens to people who do that, right?”

Her words were a complete fabrication, a twisted fantasy.

Yet, Damian’s face paled instantly. He lunged forward, grabbed my collar, and violently dragged me out of my wheelchair.

He kicked the back of my knees, forcing me to crash onto the floor.

Ordering his men to pin me down, he slammed my head against the tiles. “Alicia, I never knew you could be this malicious! Kneel to Ayla and apologize until she decides to forgive you!”

I trembled with fury, struggling against their grip.

My father had always drilled it into me. “As royalty, our knees bow only to the Moon Goddess and our ancestors, never to any mortal.”

From the day I was born, I had only ever knelt before my father and the Moon Goddess. To kneel before this impostor’ is a brutal insult to my dignity.

I used to cherish Damian with all my heart, but to him, I was nothing more than a pathetic simp he could let his friends humiliate at will.
