Stepbrother’s Crime, War Hero’s Tortured Hell Chapter 01 Betrayal at the Prison Camp Gate
After surviving countless life-or-death missions, I earned a First-Class Merit Award. On the very night I returned home for the celebration banquet, Someone drugged me unconscious and threw me onto the bed of my fifty-year-old stepmother. When I woke up again, my stepmother’s corpse was lying on top of me, her lower body drenched in blood and stuffed with condoms. My stepbrother flew into a rage and cut off my penis, chopped it into pieces, and fed it to the dogs. My wife peeled the skin off my face alive, then turned around and threw herself into my stepbrother’s arms, “Silas! You wouldn’t even spare your stepmother. How are you any different from a a horny dog? My father, a judge, sentenced me to death without hesitation. Seventeen bullets tore through my body, leaving me riddled with holes. Even my grandfather, the mayor, transferred all my years of first-class merit citations to my stepbrother, officially proclaiming him the heir to the Maddox family. I begged for the truth to be heard, but no one believed me. They severed both my legs and sent me to a prisoner-of-war camp, where I was treated as nothing more than a living target. The prisoners of war tortured me in every conceivable way. They even injected me with an aphrodisiac and humiliated me in watching me having sex with a sow. They even forced me to swallow dead rats and sewage raw, treating me no better than an animal for their amusement. It was not until I was tormented to the brink of death that my entire family arrived to fetch me by helicopter. My wife stroked my mangled face gently, her eyes brimming with sorrow and pity. “Silas, it’s all over. I’ll never let you suffer again, not from this day forward.” My body shook violently from head to toe. Years ago,my wife personally mutilated me, breaking my bones and cutting off my limbs, turning me into a monstrous human-dog hybrid. My father stitched an rotting anus from a dead dog onto my mouth, stitch by stitch. They only wanted me silenced forever, so I would never be able to testify that my stepbrother was the real murderer. … The moment I stepped out of the prisoner-of-war camp, someone hurled a dead rat straight in my face. “We had to postpone Young Mr. Maddox’s succession ceremony just to come fetch a beast like you! “You killed his mother and ruined his family. How dare you still live?” For eight years, I’d been forced to swallow dead rats inside the camp. My body reacted faster than my mind. I grabbed the rat and stuffed it into my mouth without hesitation. Rat bones tore open my gums, and maggots wriggled across my tongue. I bit down instinctively; blood and pus spurted from the corners of my mouth. “Silas!” Behind me, Serena Lynn’s voice cut through the silence, trembling with shock and concern. She rushed over instantly and seized my blood-soaked hand. “What are you doing eating that? Spit it out right now!” Her eyes welled up with tears as she fumbled frantically for tissues. “Silas, stop this nonsense. Come home with me. I’ll protect you from now on.” I stopped chewing and looked at her, my eyes hollow. “Home? Do I still have a home, Serena? After you flayed and crushed me to the bone, you forced a divorce and married Lucas, remember?” Her face drained of all colour in an instant. I turned to look at my father and grandfather, stabbing a finger hard into my own chest. “Father, you shot me thirty-seven times and personally erased my name from the Maddox family records. Didn’t you already disown me? “Grandfather, when you handed all my military merits over to Lucas, did you ever spare a thought for the fact that I was your grandson too?” My father stared at me coldly. Grandfather glanced away, his gaze flickering, overcome with anger and sorrow. Serena clutched my arm and urged me softly. “Silas, watch your tone.” I jerked my arm away so violently I nearly split open my wounds. “How do you expect me to watch my tone? Congratulate you and Lucas on a blessed child soon? “Or tell everyone the truth—that my stepbrother slept with his half-sibling and hired eighteen men to gang-rape and murder their own mother?” Before I could finish speaking, my father kicked me hard in the chest. I went flying three metres backward, three ribs snapped cleanly. He loomed over me, hatred blazing in his eyes. “You reckless wretch! You murdered your stepmother, yet you still dare slander your elder brother? “Seven years locked away, and this beast still refuses to repent. I should have killed you myself all those years ago!” He pressed his boot down onto my face and ground it harshly against the ground. “Having a disgrace like you as my son is a shame to this family!” Grandfather raised his cane and brought it crashing down against my back, his eyes red-rimmed. “If we hadn’t been atoning for your sins, would Serena have had to marry Lucas and endure endless gossip and scorn? “You murderous monster who slew your own mother. You’re rotten to the core, and out of jealousy you slander them without mercy. You have not an ounce of conscience!” Serena knelt down, cradling her five-month pregnant belly, her tone heavy with resignation. “Silas, I only married Lucas to atone for your misdeeds. “Once I bear his child, I’ll remarry you, and we can go back to the way things used to be.” Revulsion surged through me violently. I spat the rotting flesh from my mouth right onto her face. She shrieked and stumbled backward, staring at me in utter disbelief. Once upon a time, I’d loved her more than life itself, ready to lay down my life for her without a second thought. Now, all I felt for her was icy indifference. “What makes you think I’d ever take back a woman who’s been passed around by countless men?” My father’s face turned pitch-black with fury. “Since you refuse to mend your ways, do not blame me for punishing you. Perhaps then you’ll finally learn your lesson.” He waved his hand, and several men pinned me flat to the ground. Immediately afterward, a pack of sex-crazed male dogs charged toward me. They had no rational thought left, only primal instinct. They tore viciously at my flesh. They also ground into the bullet wounds scattered across my body. A crowd had gathered all around, snickering and raising their phones to film the humiliating scene. “Beast! This is what you get for insulting Miss Lynn!” “I suppose we ought to call him the one worn ragged by hounds from now on?” I coughed up blood, fixed my father with a burning glare, and roared hoarsely. “Refuse to repent? You all know full well I never did a single wrong thing from the very start! Lucas is the real killer! “Yet you cast me down into hell to suffer for seven long years, and handed everything I owned straight to him! “You care so deeply about his future—what about mine?” No sooner had the words left my lips than the men upended a bucket of snakes over my body. Slender, damp serpents sought out every warm crevice, wriggling deep into the scar tissue left by the dogs’ bites. Agony coursed through my veins like electric shocks. I curled up on the ground, thrashing wildly, unable to utter even a cry of pain. Serena watched my torment, shedding tears of apparent compassion. “Silas, don’t be stubborn. Apologize, and I’ll take you to the hospital straight away.” I shoved her away roughly and spat a mouthful of bloody saliva. “Get lost! I want none of your false kindness!” Grandfather turned livid with rage, jabbing a finger straight at my face and shouting. “Silas, kneel down this instant and kowtow to Lucas and Serena to beg for forgiveness! “If you refuse, you’ll be sent back to the prisoner-of-war camp to endure punishment once more. You won’t step foot out of there until you’ve properly reflected on your crimes!
