She Wanted My Body for Three Days? Fine, She Can Keep It Forever! Chapter 10

After New Year’s, Ethan and I started discussing a wedding date.

The Whitmores never tried to control my life. They adored their youngest child and had no interest in marrying her off to strengthen the family’s business connections.

After looking into Ethan’s background, they had only one concern.

“Chloe, he used to date that friend of yours. Doesn’t that worry you?“.

Mrs. Whitmore tapped her temple, implying that she thought my friend had become unstable.

I laughed softly and took her hand.

“It’s okay, Mom. I know what I’m doing. I’ve made sure he’s right for me.”

I leaned closer and lowered my voice.

“Besides, he doesn’t have any difficult family members who’ll make my life miserable. And if anyone does give me trouble, I’ll still have all of you looking out for me.”

She finally relaxed and gently stroked my hair.

“Of course. We’ll always be here for you.”

That spring, on a beautiful sunny day, Ethan and I got married.

I looked at the Whitmores, all three of them close to tears, then at Ethan, whose eyes were full of

love.

I couldn’t help smiling.

The days ahead would be as bright as this one.
