Secret Love Ended Before His Wedding Chapter 09

Secret Love Ended Before His Wedding Chapter 09

My mother screamed in fright.

“Nolan! What are you doing?”

Hearing the noise from the living room, I set down my work and rushed out.

“What happened…”

Nolan looked like a rabid animal unleashed.

With bloodshot eyes, he punched Hayes again and again.

Hayes didn’t fight back at all.

He just passively absorbed every brutal hit.

At the sight, the blood in my body seemed to boil.

I rushed over and shoved Nolan away with all my strength.

“Nolan, have you lost your mind? This is my house. Get out!”

Nolan froze where he stood.

The shock in his eyes slowly turned into hurt and disappointment.

Ever since we were children, I had never said anything truly harsh to him.

Before middle school, I used to trail after him wherever he went.

After middle school, when I first started understanding what a crush was, I gave him a nickname no one else

used.

Because no one else called him that, I wanted to be the only one.

Back then, no matter how much he pretended to hate it, he would only laugh through his irritation and let me

call him whatever I wanted.

Later, after we got together, I would call him by his full name when we argued and call him a jerk.

But never like this.

Never with his full name, telling him to get out.

“Sienna, you’re telling me to get out because of him?”

His eyes were wide with desperation, and even his voice trembled when he spoke.

It wasn’t because of Hayes.

I was simply letting out the anger I had been holding in for days.

I looked at Nolan and didn’t explain.

“Brielle is still waiting for you at home. Stop acting crazy here and go back.”

“Do you know tonight is my wedding night? Do you know what I’ll do if I go back?”

He was gambling.

Gambling on whether I would get jealous.

Gambling on whether I would ask him to stay.

But I only smiled.

“You and Brielle are legally bound now. Whatever you do is exactly what you should be doing.”

“Sienna!”

Nolan was shaking with a volatile mix of rage and panic.

His whole body trembled.

My mother had no idea what was happening, but she tried to mediate kindly.

“Nolan, Sienna is right. Brielle is waiting for you at home. Tonight is your wedding night. What does it look like for you to leave your wife at your new place and come here?”

“If anyone finds out, who knows how they’ll laugh at Brielle.”

“I don’t care if they laugh at her!”

Nolan sounded like he had stopped caring about consequences altogether. He stepped forward and grabbed

my wrist.

“Sienna, you are my girlfriend. I only care what you think. As long as you say the word, I can file for divorce

from Brielle tomorrow.”

“What nonsense are you talking about?”

My mother was shocked and furious. She walked over and pushed him away.

“Nolan, have you really lost your mind? If anyone heard you say that, how is Sienna supposed to face people

in this town?”

“And what do you mean Sienna is your girlfriend? Isn’t your girlfriend Brielle?”

“No!” Nolan’s eyes were filled with hurt and panic. “Aunt Claire, I’m the boyfriend Sienna has had all along. I

was the coward who kept making excuses and refused to come meet you…”

Before he could finish, a sharp slap landed hard across his face.

My mother’s hands trembled. The usual warmth in her eyes was gone.

“Nolan, you must be exhausted today. Go home and rest.”

“Aunt Claire…”

“Get out of my house.”

It was the first time I had ever seen my mother truly angry.

The eyes that usually smiled so gently were now filled with pain and rage beyond words.
