Rejected Three Years Ago, I Came Back as Luna Queen Chapter 13

Rejected Three Years Ago, I Came Back as Luna Queen Chapter 13

After that day, Brandon and I didn’t see each other for a long time.

The Pack Hospital records were crystal clear: exposure to an illegal heat stimulant, treated with suppressors

and intravenous fluids.

When Brandon saw those words, his face drained of all color.

I heard my father was hospitalized from pure rage.

Because Emily was carrying a pup, her detention was temporarily deferred. Brandon paid a fortune to settle the legal fallout and locked her away at the Voss estate.

On the day Vincent and I formed our mate contract, my mother showed up. But she came to beg for Emily.

Only then did I learn the truth. The reason my father had demanded my shares was because Emily, consumed by paranoid jealousy, had stalked Brandon and ruined several of his major corporate deals.

She had even taken photos of female clients and posted them online, accusing them of being

homewreckers.

Brandon spent millions settling lawsuits and apologizing, but seventy percent of the company’s investors

still backed out.

Yet Emily’s spending habits hadn’t changed at all.

When debt collectors came knocking, he had no choice but to sell the villa and move back into the Voss

family home with her.

My father couldn’t stand to watch his favored daughter suffer, so he targeted my dowry instead.

Too bad he ran straight into a brick wall this time.

I only had one thing to say to the ceremony coordinator.

“If she’s here to offer her blessings, let her in. If not, she’s not welcome.”

She walked in and took the head seat, not saying a single word to me the entire time.

I didn’t care.

The mating ceremony was beginning.

According to the original plan, I was supposed to walk down the aisle alone to reach Vincent.

But before the heavy doors opened, Brandon appeared before me in a sharp suit. A bitter smile touched his

lips as he offered his arm.

“How can you form a mate contract without anyone to walk you down the aisle? I’ll take Dad’s place and

hand you over to him.”

I could have refused.

But looking at how utterly shattered he was, I realized this was fine too.

Let him hand me over to Vincent with his own hands.

Let him see with his own eyes what he had given up.

I rested my hand on his arm.

The doors slowly opened, and the soft light converged on us.

His steps were slow and measured.

“Olivia, you look beautiful in that dress.”

I said nothing.

He kept talking to himself, as if trying to pack a lifetime of words into a few short steps.

“I knew he had feelings for you back then. Every time we played basketball, I told him he was out of his

mind.”

My eyes flickered.

“I never thought he’d actually take you from me.”

I cut him off.

“He didn’t take me. You threw me away.”

The arm under my hand went rigid.

“If I hadn’t chosen her back then, the man standing beside you today would be me.”

In my past life, it really had been him. Except-

“You chose me then, and you hated me for the rest of your life.”

The smooth composure on his face finally cracked.

His jaw tightened in a subtle, painful twitch. He opened his mouth to speak, but our walk had reached its end.

Vincent extended his hand.

“Mr. Vale, it’s time to hand over my bride.”

Brandon’s fingers slowly uncurled, letting go of my arm.

I didn’t look back as I stepped toward Vincent.

As the final signature sealed our mate contract, I heard a choked, broken breath from behind us.

But this time, I didn’t stop for anyone’s pain.

The Moon Goddess had given me two lives.

In the first, I was trapped in Brandon’s regret.

In this one, I chose myself.
