Reborn, I Let Them Take the Cursed Graduation Photo Chapter 10

Isabella always knew exactly where I was.

She could contact me whenever she wanted.

That alone told me how much access her role gave her within the rules.

And here, in this world, there were no police.

No courts.

No consequences.

They had three people.

I was alone.

So I stole a car and drove.

I followed abandoned highways that stretched endlessly through dead cities and empty landscapes.

I had no destination.

Only one objective.

Keep moving.

Never stop.

But less than twelve hours later, an SUV appeared in my rearview mirror.

My stomach sank.

They’d found me.

Again.

Not long after, they forced my vehicle off the road.

I stepped out and faced them.

Three figures stood waiting.

Isabella Collins.

Ethan Vance.

Zoe Caldwell.

“Why?”

The hatred on her face was almost unrecognizable.

Then the truth finally hit me.

The warnings I’d seen.

My ability to locate shelters.

My instincts.

It all made sense.

I had been here before.

Many times.

Every cycle ended with my memories being erased.

But habits remained.

Instincts remained.

Some part of me always remembered.

A small smile tugged at my lips.

“So your mission was only to activate the Hidden Scenario.”

“And killing me?”

“That’s just personal.”

“Exactly.” Isabella lifted her chin. “I can’t stand watching you win.”

I smiled.

“That’s unfortunate.”

Then I looked directly into her eyes.

Word by word.

“This time, I’m still going to win.”

Isabella burst out laughing.

She laughed so hard she doubled over.

“There are three of us.”

She pointed at me.

“And one of you.”

“You seriously think you can win?”

Then she looked toward Ethan.

His expression tightened.

After several seconds, he slowly reached into his pocket and pulled out a military knife.

“I’m sorry.”

He couldn’t meet my gaze.

“But I have to survive.”

I frowned.

Last time, he’d pushed me off that rooftop for Isabella.

This time, he was willing to kill me for her.

Some things never changed.

Reincarnation didn’t change human nature.

People were still people.

I took a step back.

“Ethan.”

“Think carefully.”

“We only have a day and a half left.”

“If we all stay alive until the countdown ends, we go home.”

“Don’t do something you’ll regret.”

Isabella crossed her arms and smirked.

“And what if he does?”

“Nobody remembers anything afterward.”

“The rules erase everything.”

“Who’s going to know?”

I pointed at the sky.

“God will.”

Then I tapped my chest.

“And your conscience will.”

I wasn’t trying to save Ethan.

I was trying to save myself.

“You’re young.”

“You have your whole future ahead of you.”

“Don’t put blood on your hands.”

Ethan’s grip tightened.

His brow furrowed.

For a moment, he hesitated.

For a moment, it looked like he might back down.

Then he raised his head.

The conflict vanished from his eyes.

Only coldness remained.

“Sorry.”

“I trust Isabella.”

“Not you.”

He charged.

Knife raised.

Rushing straight at me.

Then suddenly, before he could reach me, his entire body convulsed violently.

His muscles locked.

His eyes rolled back.

A second later, he collapsed face-first onto the asphalt.

Motionless.

I stared in shock.

Behind him stood a girl.

She held a stun baton in one hand.

The crackling tip was still pressed toward where Ethan’s head had been moments earlier.
