Reborn as the Romance Heroine, I Only Aim for First Place Chapter 10

Reborn as the Romance Heroine, I Only Aim for First Place Chapter 10

Wyatt never came to bother me again.

I heard he and Chelsea had fallen out.

Several times, when I walked past him, he kept staring at me.

He did not come over or say anything. He just watched me silently.

I could not be bothered with him.

…

The second regional practice SAT came two months before the real test, and it was the final major benchmark before the actual SAT.

The area around the posted rankings was packed with students. Everyone wanted to use this score to estimate how they might do on the real SAT.

I could not squeeze in, so I could only wait outside.

As it happened, my eyes met Chelsea’s. She was standing off to the side with Evan, waiting to check the board.

The hatred in her eyes was almost spilling over as she walked up beside me and said softly, “So what if you made me apologize in front of everyone? Evan will never like you. The person you like will always like me.”

Her lips curved.

“A girl no man wants is honestly pathetic, don’t you think?”

Evan pulled her back.

“Why are you even talking to someone like her?”

Chelsea smiled brightly.

“Tessa, are you in such a hurry to see the rankings because you think you placed first this time?”

“Her?” Evan said with contempt. “No matter how hard she works, she’ll always be second.”

Then he delivered his verdict.

“Loser.”

“Is being liked by a dumbass supposed to be some great honor? Besides…”

I pointed at the ranking sheet that had just been posted and lifted my chin.

“Sorry, but I don’t like losers with lower scores than mine.”

At the very top of the board, beside first place, the name was unmistakably Tessa Jensen—1560.

Directly beneath it, pinned firmly in second, was Evan Blake—1540.

Evan’s eyes went wide, and his lips parted without him realizing it.

“That’s impossible. How is that possible?”

Chelsea was stunned too.

“No. That’s impossible. Evan has always been first. He’s been first all these years.”

Of course it was possible.

No matter how smart Evan was, he was still human.

He spent every day flirting with Chelsea. How would he have time to study?

Studying was like rowing upstream. If you did not move forward, you slipped backward.

I had worked this hard while he had been slacking off. Of course I could beat him.

“Move.”

I walked straight past him. As I brushed past him, I tilted my head slightly toward him.

“Loser.”
